Aless, I meant to say that short sleeved t-shirts and shirts work really well with a long sleeved vest underneath ;)

Agreed Hammy, and I think MFD has said it before. I have bought many t-shirts for Alex in the summer sale and fully intend for them to be worn throughout winter over long sleeve vests.

Also seem to have miscalculated Alex's growth. I am used to the very tiny Joe who was only in 6-9 months at 1yr. Have a good few thick jumpers and cardy in 9-12 all set for the winter months. But have just recently moved him into his 9-12 t-shirts now, while the weather although wet is still warm. Bottom half still 6-9, due to short little legs.

Jillie, sorry about your break in :( - I would hate it if my home was broken in to so I really do sympathise. FWIW, you shoud get a comparative quote for the insurance company so there are no quibbles, if that makes sense.

Funny story here, my Dads house got broken in to ( about 10 years ago now), he had the usual TV, cameras, cash etc stolen but they also stole the keys to his brand new 4x4 and of course took it to carry away their loot :rotfl:. Anyway, the insurance company paid out. About a year later, he had a phone call from customs and excise - excuse me Mr Hammy Dad, we have recovered your vehicle trying to re-enter the UK from Russia. The only problem is that we have a dead russian inside the boot - do you have any idea why  - this is a true story!!!!!

Maz, how is everything going with the pox? We found it good to alternate the calpol and neurofen over a 24 hour cycle and found that D needed it throughout the night for his fever as well - we found that rhus tox worked really well at keeping the itching to a minimum and that oat baths helped too although bi-carb baths didn't seem to make a difference.

    OMG Hammy  :rotfl:

"Excuse me, Sir, but do you know anything about this dead Russian?"

I've done a metric butt ton of work today and am feeling rather tired. Family still out, so I think I shall treat myself to a bath.

Meant to say earlier and Hammy reminded me, well done on the levels Susan (not sure exactly what they are but thinking to do with iron?)

Thanks for all the advice, I'm not really worried but it is a little disconcerting when somoeone tells you there's a problem, even when you are pretty sure there's not!

Hammy I will PM you :)

Oh and DH seems to think we shouldn't bother waiting til we get back from MIL's to start weaning as he doesn't see how it will be any hassle, any opinions?

And Sugar I'm jealous of your bath, I'd love one but it aggrevates my eczema to sit in water too long, and I like Lush smelly things in too which probably wouldn't help. Hope you enjoy yours though!

Hammy  at your dad's phone call!!

    They are hopeless everywhere then.

15yo hopes to start college in September but still has no idea what's going on.

Yup pretty much. The annoying this is that SIL just got her interview letter and she applied after me :(

Sorry to hear about the college course EA. What are you studying? If the Open Uni do it, I can highly recommend them. I've found them to be very efficient.

Its a college course im doing. Access To Uni in Midwifery and Nursing. Then onto Uni to do a midwifery course. I was meant to start last year, but the wedding tied in with the end date so i didn't want the stress of wedding planning, exams and a tiny tiny baby.

Our spare room is going to be my study until the children are old enough for their own rooms.

I think Lily is teething, i dont know though. Everytime i try to look she covers her gums with her tongue :rotfl:
From what i can feel, they feel very hard, harder than usual. She is also dribbling alot and is being a bit whingy recently.
And very cuddely too, she hates cuddles usually :p

Maz - sorry to hear it's chicken pox. Hope it clears up soon and he's not too poorly with it xx

Bit Strange really as only upto 9 spots and the ones from yesterday arent blistering at all?All but 2 are on his face and the others are on his shoulder. Becles, he is definately ok with it as demolished all his food last night (after 3 meals at nursery), 2 lots of brekkie and has continually eaten all day. Although he has quite a cough at the moment!
I am alternating calpol and nurofen as suggested on here, so bit unsure really whether it is the pox or not...(9 gnat bites possibly:think:) Good thing is only has to miss nursery upto Tuesday if no more appear....5 days after last spot appears?

Now that is CLEARLY a case of somebody hoping to receive your Fairy Post :D

Lucky we saw our postie this morning to get Krystals post!!!

KOAG - sent my fairy mum to send your nappies today....
