Gill what a rubbish day for you :( Have you tried a bit of calpol? We found Izzy was fine with the first set of jabs, but then had a reaction to the second set, but a bit of calpol helped. I seem to remember that she randomly slept through after the second set too, but I don't want to get your hopes up too much ;)

You were right....Thomas just slept through for the first time! But the really annoying thing is that I had my first bad night and couldn't get to sleep until after 1 and then woke nearly every hour and was up for a wee twice! So unfair lol

They were quite quick actually, within 3 days of diagnosis they'd decided to end the pregnancy and were booked in for induction...
I wouldn't make that choice though so that wouldn't apply to me.

Really wish I hadn't clicked on the link that Krystal has put up :( I think I may have nightmares after seeing the picture of that poor little newborn with it's little froggy face. Infact (and I really don't mean this in a horrible way) it looks just like Thomas's favourite Mr Froggy rattle :(

Krystal - maybe it's just me being super-over-sensitive (which I'm not usually) but maybe you could put a warning by your linky for those that are easily upset.
This blog might make you feel a bit better. This lady (who was also a single mum) chose to keep her baby who had anencephaly. She describes the time her baby lived as the best 93 days of her life and there are loads of beautiful photos and videos.

They managed to double J's playscheme days over the summer holidays for me. We have to pay, but it's worth it - we get a break and he loves it there.
That's great - I was going to ask you if they did anything like that as he sounds within the behaviour range we had on the playscheme I worked on.

PS. after your posts Jillie I think I might actually start using our alarm at night again!! How scary!

Sami - if you have an alarm then deffo use it at night. A couple of months ago the IL's were broken into while they were all in bed. They came in the front door, walked through the hall, ignored MIL's handbag and took both sets of keys (leaving BIL's on the radiator?!) and stole FIL's car. We think it must have been someone who knew their house as their key thing isn't in a really obvious place, and was a targeted hit for FIL's civic. (2 other cars on the drive were left) The first they knew was when they woke up the next day and the front door was open. They have kicked themselves ever since for not having the front door on the double lock or setting their alarm - they thought they lived in a nice safe area.

T has a big red swelling on his leg where the needle slipped :( It's not as big as a 50p piece so I'm not too concerned but might show it to the HV when I get him weighed this afternoon. He's very happy this morning anyway so can't be bothering him too much.

3 - I feel even more angry on your behalf after reading that letter now  Really hope you get the response you want - but if not then you need to take it as far as you possibly can.

Becles I keep meaning to say i'm bowing at your feet at your determination with the boot camp! It sounds brilliant and you're really sticking at it.

    Thanks :o

I'm going three times a week now, and loving it. She's pushing me really hard now. A few months back, I was stuck in a rut and just felt down and sluggish most of the time. I feel much stronger and alert now, and I'm getting benefits as my body shape is changing.

Letter sounds really good. It's concise, easy to read and covers the main points well. It sounds much better written like that and will be taken more seriously than just a rant.

I wouldn't breastfeed in a public toilet either. I think I've posted this before but the manager of the BHS cafe in the Metrocentre was fantastic when I had Josh. He needed feeding, so I grabbed a coffee and settled myself in a quiet corner of the cafe. Although it was nearly empty, an old couple came and sat on the table next to me and were cooing over Josh, then turned rude when he burped and they realised I was feeding him. They insisted the manger came out and demanded I was told to feed him in the toilet. The manager was a lovely man and explained I wasn't doing anything wrong and if they didn't like it, perhaps they could take their meal into the toilet. Properly shut them up he did :rotfl:

Off out to work soon. Another busy day ahead. Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

That is exactly how it works! Well done Thomas though :)

My little monkey was up twice early morning - this is also how it works as I have a busy day today

The info on anencephaly made me sad too. Your poor friend Krystal. I have the same rattle for Alfie, Gill, and I see what you mean.

Morning all, sorry havent posted for a while. I have been lurking but cant keep up and by the time I get around to posting everything has been posted and is long gone.

Some lovely pics posted recently though :D

3 - I think the others have already covered how disgusting you have been treated and I agree totally with them. I dont know if it would be any use to you but my step sister runs a FB group for parents of autistic children as my nephew is autistic. I know she has sadly had issues in the past and taken them up with local newspapers. I can get you details of the group if your intrested.

Done the breastfeeding Q, you think they would ask for a few more details like babys age and if you had any issues etc.

Nothing of intrest happening here am afraid hence the lack of posting!

Becles it can't have been that bad if they were stood there for a minute before even realising you were feeding!

3 I like the letter too. As has already been suggested I would take out the bit about frightening other parents and emphasise that you don't know why you were asked to leave. Also if you add in that you had hoped the !!!!!! Holiday would help J's progress but now you fear it may have hindered it. Also I woud probably put more in about the dodgy "healing". I'm not sure exactly how but it just seems such an outrageous thing to have happened, sorry I'm not much help :o

3 I wonder whether it is worth saying something about breach of contract at this stage?
