OH has accidentally taught E her fear of bees  She is deeply terrified of bees and wasps (and spiders), and while a few weeks ago E would watch them with interest saying "Buzzy bee! Zzzz buzzy bee!", now he will only say this from the comfort of clinging to our legs and peeking round them.
Alice can't make up her mind about bees. Last year she loved to watch them in the garden but now she's into Winnie the Pooh she thinks they're going to chase her.

It's so funny when they treat you how you treat them. This evening when I was in the bath I was making words with the foam letters and after getting me to make "bag" Alice said, "Well done sweetie" and gave me a pat on the head.

    Awww - that's cute!

Charlotte copies me a lot. She had various shoes all over the hall, and I'd asked her twice to pick them up but she was ignoring me. Craig went into the hall and said "I thought Mam told you to pick these up?". She said abruptly "I've asked Josh to do it several times" then she sighed and tutted and said "he's just bone idle that kid you know" :rotfl:

My furminator from eBay arrived today and i love it!!

I love mine too! I normally brush the dogs in the garden due to the volume of fur that comes out!

Where I live there's something in the woods that has little green sticky ball shaped seeds and the dogs end up with loads in their fur. It's great for getting them out.

Charlotte likes bee's and knows all about them collecting pollen and making honey.

I'm trying not to pass on my fear of wasps. I was stung badly as a child and came up in egg sized lumps. The doctor said to be careful as the next sting might cause a worse reaction. I've managed to avoid wasp stings since but I get really scared if I see one nearby :o
Here I go again on my own....

Oh yeah we get the green sticky balls too, they're the bane of my life :rotfl: My DS finds it therapeutic to sit and pluck them out of her ears :D
  • Sorry it's not been a great day for your parents, SJ. It must be a horrid situation to be in.

LOL at Charlotte passing the buck to Josh!

I'm off to bed as I can hardly keep my eyes open.

The birth afterthoughts service was good. The MW was lovely and everything happened as I thought it had. Fairly big incompetence which resulted in me not being offered a blood transfusion when I should have been  but I have survived to tell the tale so it can't have been that important.

My big concern was really what will happen next time, and although she couldn't give a definite answer (obviously) it was reassuring to talk it through. She thinks I failed to progress primarily because of H's position, but she also said it was partly that he just wasn't ready to come out. If it looks like the presentation is that same as H then I could ask for a planned C section, and if I do go overdue I can request a C-section rather than induction if I want to. She said next time I could refuse induction if I get that far as I might just bake babies for longer. All in all it was a useful chat, and I recommend it to anyone who has questions about their labour/birth.

Alice is just so cute, Susan!

glad is went ok. Can i ask where you got in touch with them? not that i am looking to go through my notes yet...but before we start TTC

You may:p Sorry, that is my fault for asking you today...I have obviously jinxed you:doh:

I forgot to ask youtoday, how did you dh get into the police? Do they only take applications in cycles, every so often and also what was his job before...did it have anything to do with him being accepted??? Sorry for all the nosy questions and feel free to tell me to get lost:o

My oh is an officer as well, the gossip is that all recruiting has stopped and we don't know for how long. Oh didn't have any relevant experience to start with but then he managed to get a pcso position and it all took off from there.

Sorry about your parents SJ I went to the small claims court and it took a year and a bit to sort out which was quite stressful (all the othersides fault) but the judge took that into account when he made the ruling :)

    Evening Everyone,

I've caught up so hugs all round (to keep message short).

It was DH's birthday so we went out for a meal - Katie spent the entire time singing random songs for Wizard of Oz - DH was Tinman and I was Scarecrow, in the car DH and I had to sing the relevant songs!

I would have been on ages ago but I got a warning message from my virus guard and it took 90 minutes to scan the system.

Katie slept 13 hours last night! She eventually woke up at 7.30am.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
