How long will it take the sugar water to work? I have visions of being up at 3 in the morning with a poopsplosion!!!

Also at what age is it 'safe' to give grapes whole!! I have been chopping them for K but the last few times I have given him them whole, I am assuming that as he has quite a lot of teeth now he is ok....

    *I still half Ben's* :o

    Will ring DD back. X

My step sisters friends little boy was 2 when he choked to death on a grape...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Poppie would poop within a couple of hours, but she would explode! But on a couple of occasions it took 2 doses. X

We are quite naughty with salt here - I don't add it to anything I cook, but I do let Izzy eat cheesy crackers, marmite on toast, cheese, olives, salty vegetarian sausages, pesto and (occasionally) garlic bread, which are all salty in themselves. No idea how much she has in a day, but so long as she has a varied diet I'm not too fussed. I know that she has a healthy diet in all other respects :)
    .

This is the sort of thing I was meaning. I was looking for ideas for finger food and keep seeing pitta bread with homous. But when I look at the ingredients of homous, it contains salt! That's where I get a bit confused and think it's a minefield! She has had garlic bread before - I never even considered the salt in that. So whilst I wouldn't add salt to cooking if I intended to give it to Holly (although if I wasn't, I would add salt because I salt to taste during cooking, and don't add it after), I think I need to be a bit more carefree with the ready bought stuff as I know I am not going to make my own homous and every little thing!

Anyway, I am going back to lurking as it looks like I have upset Becles. Thanks for your thoughts everyone.

And Holly loves Ice-cream Mars Bars! Clearly she hasn't had a full one to herself though. :p

Thank you:A She is due a feed anytime now, so hopefully she will go before her next one.....I can go to bed happy then:p:D

My neck mucles are aching like crazy today, I am assuming it is because we went on the bike to the blessing prep service and dh took a long (fast) detour home. I was trying to peek round him to watch where we were going, and obviously the weight of the helmet, and my head being tilted has really taken it's toll:(

Fizio - hummas is really easy to make if you have a food processor, and you can freeze it. But I don't blame you if you can't be bothered ;)

I know they say not to give them more than 1g a day, but I figure if she has more than that every so often it isn't going to hurt, so long as it is not every day. I'm pretty sure the amount in the amount of hummas a baby would get through isn't too whopping (but I could be wrong).... garlic bread has more than 1g in one stick of it, and Izzy will quite happily eat (or suck the butter off) half a stick if I let her.
