Sj how was the return to the gym? Did you get caught in the downpour? I was driving in it and couldn't see more than 2 foot in front, hope it's not the same tonight! Did you go swimming today?
Thanks Tia, my dad keeps telling me he would love to meet OHs parents, so he could tell them exactly what he thinks, think I'm secretly glad they're not coming to the wedding as I don't think dad would be able to keep his opinions to himself! We don't use a sling, did use the BabyBjorn but now he won't go in it facing inward, have got a cheapo buggy thoughThink my concern with a trip away is more that we would be restricted activity wise? What could be do with a baby in London? Obv. no shows/fancy dinners!
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
We used a sling in London because the tube isn't pushchair friendly. Take him while he's still a littlie - I was wrecked after 11 hours of walking about with strapping Molly sitting on my chest :rotfl:
I'd tell him about the plans too if he was mine, but I can see why you wouldn't. And I'm absolutely buying a giant keyboard for my little family for some occasion.....Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I want that, but I want it to say different things.... lol
Like what Tia?
So much cool stuff on there, but so not needed!! Just realised I have about £200 in tesco vouchers, could I convert them into anything good for him?Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
How about a trip to the seaside rather than London?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

The London Eye is £6 in Tesco vouchers
Also there are loads of museums, you can walk around, go to one of the parks, take the London Eye, go on brewery tours...
Fancy dinner wise, look at the Harwood Arms. They're a pub with a Michelin star and totally baby friendly. Try one of their venison scotch eggs, they're incredible.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I have ordered the thorntons hamper from tesco for DH's birthday (I'm now shopping cos I forgot and its on the 20th) I think he;d like a metal detector... dunno...0 -
I walked over to the gym as it was nice out, 15 minutes before I was about to leave I looked out and saw the torrential rain! I hadn't taken my phone or anything with me so finished a bit earlier than planned so I saved some energy for running home! As I got outside DH was waiting for me in the car :A
It was good though and I'm planning on going again tonight after Alfie is in bed. Going swimming tomorrow
I would also program totally different things into the car sign
ETA Oh and i had BP and weight checked by the nurse today and I'm only 1.5kg heavier than I was when i was last weighed in 2008 :T0 -
For starters
'I farted!' for when they were too close behind me.0 -

I'm not really quite sure what to do.
Took my daughter to swimming lessons this afternoon. She's been going a while now, and though she's not keen she was doing quite well until they decided to put her up a class into Tadpoles about 3-4 weeks ago. As a Duckling she mainly swam with a woggle and occasionally swam a width without it. Now she's been put up they expect her to swim almost all the time without a woggle and she's really not confident. We went today and they were assessing them over a distance, so they were doing lengths. Amelie's never even been in the deep end and she had a complete crisis of confidence and kept hanging on to the swimming assistant until they had to take her down to the shallow end. I don't really know what to do as I think she's going backwards - I haven't seen any progress since she's moved up, and I can't help feeling that they've moved her up too soon. My husband is really against the idea of her going back into Ducklings as he thinks it will damage her confidence and self-esteem - but surely it would be a better move? I'm worried that at this rate she'll be completely put off swimming!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'
