sorry for going offtopic for a moment - among the shapely and smaller avis, only fermi has a smart avi without the white background showing :D how did he manage that, even webby's shows

Ontopic, I think fire fox has gone funny after this critical maintenence. I've no issues on IE, definitiely not the logging off issue. If at all there is one, I think there is some speed issue because there are a couple of duplicate posts across threads. I use IE8 on Orange.

ETA: I figured out what fermi did :D he has used the same background for his avi.
  • Hi folks,

We're looking at the problem although it's not making alot of sense at the moment as we didn't actually make any changes on Friday, we were only looking at the validity of the backup database but had to shut down the whole system to do so.

Apologies for the problems, we'll try and sort it as soon as we can.

    Webby

It was doing it before the shutdown for me, about 24 hours before, but has steadily got worse, but no one else seems to have noticed a problem, so tis a bit odd

    She is a HE;)

Or has been lying for over three years:p
  • Is anyone experiencing speed issues still? We made a change around 2pm that we think made a difference but as I've not had any problems myself, I can't really tell.

    Any feedback wold be appreciated.

Speed here was dreadful last night, but it's improved today for me, running pretty normal here speed wise now.

    Firefox 3.6.6 and Windows 7 if it's relevent :)
    Oh and Plusnet
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

  • You seem to have got it webbie.:)

But may i suggest giving more info next time before a shutdown, as i may have said there was an issue before it if you had IYSWIM

I was still checking if the issue was my end or yours ( :o somebody will make something of that i am sure :p)

But when i saw the shutdown notice, i just assumed it was something to do with it, so stopped looking into it, if you had said it was just to test a backup, i might have thought, 'hang on a min, thats nothing to do with what i am having a problem with'' and flagged the issue;)
