I too am finding the site very very slow.
Also I use quick links>subscribed threads and I am finding in the last couple of days that it isn't working properly. My subscribed threads are staying in bold blue even after I have read the latest replies.

its taking over 30 seconds a view a post(i gave up and reloaded then as im in a rush lol)

I am finding it quicker to use quick reply as the normal way posts are hanging for ages, or just not posting at all?

maybe thats where the double posts are coming in?

Site is still very slow for me too. Why do maintenance on a Friday afternoon? When it goes wrong we have to put up with it all weekend.

the site hangs every so often when I load. Then I stop and reload and it's ok. So there's something stuck. It happens when I'm trying to view/post so it's not so often.

using safari on mac 10.6
