New form working fine for me too. Received auto reply to inbox within 6 minutes.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

Thanks for all of the feedback folks, it's very useful and greatly appreciated. We're still going to evaluate for a while, the change in the process is having an effect on the back end systems too so we need to monitor what's going on for a bit longer.
We'll take this all on board and let you know here if we make any tweaks or changes.
Thanks,

I just noticed this topic and the change in the abuse button today
. Just wanted to say thanks as I'd also requested this not too long ago
I can echo the idea of indicating when a post has already been reported. I keep seeing people quote a post and saying that they have reported it and so even after the original post is deleted they have effectively helped out the spammer by preserving their post :P0 -

If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
May I remind people of the forum rules?
How do I report an abusive/offensive/racist post?
...
Don't comment on reported posts in the thread.
Just report it and let the Forum Team deal with it, however much you feel justified to make a comment. If you do, action could be taken on your posts as well. Please don't quote the abusive post, as this causes the team more work.

the way i get around this is to quote but delete its content

I do like one members idea of including "wrong thread" in the feedback list, but not sure whether this will put more strain onto the new form. With so many options in the form list from spam, feedback to abuse, it might be a good idea to have the button called "Report" rather than "Abuse", this could well stop any confusion regarding spam posts, incorrect thread posts or general feedback, all of which are included within the "abuse form", but are not necessarily abusive . However I do like the fact that once clicked, it gives you a list of options as to which to report a post as, I did not expect that.
Could I also take the opportunity to remind members that in "quoting" an abusive post or spam, means the post is still visible even after a deletion.
I can imagine this being one of the factors why there are times the abuse team opt to delete a whole thread, as if an abusive or spam post has been quoted by many members (particularly in a long or popular thread), it can be far too time consuming for the team to selectively search the thread to delete various posts, rather than a particular abusive poster, it would be much easier for the team to decide the whole thread should be deleted.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

MarleyBoy "You are the Greatest"
Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
MUCH easier to use!!!0

if a thread has multiple abusive posts would it be prefered that each are reported individually or just links to the others are reported in one post
also wondering if you report multiple posts on one report does it come up as links making it easy to deal with0
