When I press the Abuse button, there is no indication that the message automatically refers to the offending posting (the reference used to appear in the subject line of the e-mail). I usually just put "spam" as my message. Is this still sufficient?

Aren't we still clicking the Spam button for spam?

Or do you mean individual spam posts in an otherwise valid thread (which I always reported as Abuse). Funnily enough I just did a test by clicking Abuse to get the box, but then checking "Other" and titling it "Spam". I got the standard Feedback response, rather than an Abuse response.

I don't thank him because I don't want people to think that we're simply trying to boost our Thanks counts by thanking each other!

*goes off to remedy the situation

Babba doing just fine, thanks Niddy. Happy, smiling, rolling around and babbling. Pretty much like myself after a few pints :p

Haha - yea but we all know you're a couple and to be fair he always thanks you! You know, tit-for-tat hehe

    * Right Marley, now your thanks count will soon be like Q's or Laks (plus you need a hand you're way behind the boss!) :rotfl:

Glad baby is doing fine, bet you're just glad to have some normality about the house - what with Marley being home again as well..... about time, that's what I say! Well done anyways, glad to hear you're all doing fine. :D

If it's spam, you need to check 'Abuse', otherwise it just seems to be recorded as 'Feedback'.

Juding from other responses (above) it might be helpful if the form also had a specific tickbox for 'Spam'.

Yes indeed, Biggles. I was hoping to get a reply from the powers-that-be to my earlier post asking if I am wasting my time clicking on Abuse to report spam postings when there does not appear to be any reference in the auto-message to the post being reported. Under the old system the reference number of the offending post appeared in the subject line of the e-mail to abuse@....
