  • Why not drop a note in to all the ones that didn't order with a little apology (say you had a little personal problem or something when collecting your books so you couldn't complete all your collections and/or just 'due to personal reasons' you couldn't collect everyone's books) and say if they had actually prepared an order for you then to let you know and you'll do your best to fulfill asap?

As for your 2nd prob, it's really not a good idea to take money before delivering goods...... but having said that, why not see if your SL can track you one? There may be someone else on her/his team, who's about to put an order in and/or someone on the team may have one in stock? Failing that, if you don't want to wait 2 weeks for your next delivery, you could put in an additional order but it will cost you £2.50 and you won't earn any commission.

Thanks, that's a good idea - I know it was one little row in particular but when I looked on the way back they all look the same!

I don't know if I made it clear, sorry - she submitted her order which included 2 brow sticks. Although I thought I'd done my order carefully I misread her order and just ordered one, does that make sense? I'll drop my SL an email, thanks - otherwise I'll just hope she can wait a couple of weeks ...

Yes, know what you mean and can't be easy when pushing a buggy and looking after your little one in the rain too.

As for the brow sticks, if you can't track one down, why not tell a little white lie and say one arrived but stock is short so the other one will follow next campaign, hopefully? ;)

As Gempink says, prep your returns and apply for credit in the normal way. Leave them for your courier i.e. provided you've actually got a delivery due, and he should take away.

No need to pay for any goods you're returning; just apply for credit, deduct it off your account balance and pay the nett amount. If the goods are not received back by Avon within, I think, 60 days of you applying for the credit then they will be recharged to your account.

Its 36 days after they recharge you not 60. But email them and explain and what will probably happen is they will recharge you in 36 days as they will not have recieved them.... and then when you send them next time they will cancel the recharge and re credit your account once they recieve the goods. Aslong as they are within the 90 days!! best to apply for the credit as late as you can though so that its the shortest time possible between applying for credit and them getting the goods.

OR if possible you could prep your returns and leave them at your SLs house for the courier to collect there? just remember to leave your form for them to sign.

I am doing my first brochue drop tomorrow with my postcard advertising the refer a friend offer. How do I do that though? I have put a second order form in? My postcard says refer a friend to avon and get a free gift when they spend over £10. on the back it says lots of stuff about what avon sell etc and to contact me with questions. Is that the right way to do it?

Sounds great, DB; basically, whatever works for you is fine!

Whenever I've done it in the past I've done it as a coloured bookmark and attached a contrasting colour parcel ribbon to it. Customers have then tended just to pass the address on to me of any friends, who want me to drop a book.

    Good luck.

    Thank you. :)
I got some postcards printed from vista print. They are quite nice and have a lipstick and a mascara on them with a wavey design. Im rubbish at describing stuff but Im hoping they do the trick. I didnt know if I should just wait for them to ask, but thought if I add another form they may just show the friend. We'll see. :)

sounds fab dizzybella! Yes, put in a second order form so they can give it to their friends with the book. Make it clear you will still be back on same day to collect but if they need longer to let you know.

I would put the postcard in front of the book, in the plastic bag, so it is immediately visible and put the order forms inside the book.

MC, love the idea of the bookmark. Did you make your own?

Hi, A, yes as usual did my own - will email you the file if you like. Also did another one for Mother's Day, which was bigger and had a lovely soppy quote re. Mothers.

Just got some brightly coloured card, printed off a sheet at a time, cut them up, punched a hole in and put some parcel tape through the hole so it stuck up out of the top of the book.
