I have a theory on this and wonder if anybody else has had similar experiences. I'm on mailplan D, and used to have no problem ordering from the sale books as things were usually in stock - even sometimes on a back order! More recently though (last couple of sale books I suppose), I'm seeing more stuff be out of stock.
I heard a rumour (can't remember if it was on here or friends forum) that Avon were changing their processes when it comes to sale stock. Instead of stock being on a first come first served basis (so earlier mailplans have more chance), amounts of stock would be allocated to each mailplan to give everyone an equal chance.
Anybody any experiences which would support this?0 -

Oh I do hope that is the case otherwise it seems very unfairSo how do they choose on each mailplan who gets the stock and who doesn't? It can't be first come first served as we all have to submit at the same time

Please can I rant??
Since I joined Avon - months ago now my delivery has always arrived on the set day and date between 8.45am - 9am, promptly and never any different. That was until today!!!
Allotted time came and went, still no delivery. Ring Avon, they weren't very helpful and so I had to ask a neighbour to help me for 2 hours whilst I went out and leave a note on my door incase said driver turned up. I've now had to cancel appointments I had today because I don't know when the delivery will arrive, IF it arrives at all. There is no where secure for them to leave it and as we have a dog who we leave in the garden I don't want someone going into our garden we don't know.
I've delivered notes to everyone telling them their order will be with them tomorrow between 6.30 & 7.30pm and now I'm in a pickle incase it doesn't arrive at all!
Is it me or has this happened to anyone else recently??
Rant over, I'll climb off my soap box now!
Sorry to hear about your bad day but whoever signed you up should've given you your carrier's contact details (should also have written them on the back of your Avon Guide). For mine and adjacent areas 01752-896773 is applicable. Whether there are different nos for other parts of the UK I've no idea, sorry, but it's a good place to start and/or ask your immediate upliner for the carrier details. Ours are usually excellent; they track you via your Avon a/c no and, traffic jams excepted, will tell you whereabouts on their run you are i.e. to give you an idea of when to expect your delivery.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

My delivery has finally arrived 6 hours late!!!
I eventually managed to track down the company who were doing the deliveries to be told my 'regular' driver was on holiday. This meant his delivery had been split and so they could confirm my delivery today but not a time. I realise that this is not 'their fault' as the poor guy needs a holiday but its blooming frustrating that Avon can't notify people or give us a number so we can at least check what's going on. Oh well, rant over at least my Avon is here.... not that I've checked its all here yet!!
My 'regular' driver is back next week so fingers crossed next month it will be back to normal.
Thanks for your replies suzy180, claregre and MarsdenCuckoo it was appreciated.0 -

Dunno, guess it would be first come first served within the mailplan. Like I said it was just a rumour, I was just wondering if it was true and whether anybody had any experiences to back it up ... Hmmm.0 -
Re Delivery times
Like many of you I rely on the delivery coming at a certain time as I not only unpack & bag up but also try to deliver to all my customers on the same day.
I have been told by Avon that as long as delivery comes before 6.30pm on that day they have fulfilled their delivery promise (or words to that effect). I was told it was unwise to promise the customer a delivery so soon because of unforseen 'delays' ie. new drivers, accidents, weather etc.
I take the risk, and in nearly 7 years of doing Avon have only been a little late delivering to my customers on one occasion because of late arrival of goods. Make sure you've got all their contact details to hand. I keep a special updated list for occasions like this.
But yes, the courier is the place to call and they should be able to tell you of delays & new drivers."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -

I've been told by people that have done Avon for years that they've always held some stock back for each mailplan. I'm mailplan k, so fairly late as it ends at O, and don't find it too bad, most bits in stock, it's usually branded items in the sale I struggle with, presumably as they didn't have that many in the first place.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
