I applied online for my other half last Tuesday or Wednesday I think and I still haven't heard anything. Its not looking good for getting a decent ASM.
I did send my postcode to Aureol in a pm, but unfortunately the nearest SL that Aureol has on her list is her and she is a bit too far as she can't drive. Any other ideas as to how I can sign my other half up?
Aureol, I also tried the two reps that you gave me details for, one doesn't do Avon any more and the other one hasn't replied yet.
Please don't take my comments about speed literally; it's only my personal thoughts, could be totally wrong. If you've applied via the website then ASM's can do appointments online (I think) and you tend to come through as a 'Hot Lead'. My ASM passed a Hot Lead onto me one Sunday evening a while ago but by the time I rang (10 am the following morning) another SL had already arranged to go and sign her up that afternoon. How that happened I have noooo idea!

Well folks - after almost 3 years as an Avon Lady, Ive finally thrown in the towel
Aw, sorry to see you go - hope you have enjoyed most of the 3 years, if not the last few camps.
Totally agree with you on the OOS and "missing" items. That's the only thing I'd leave for at the moment as it is getting embarrassing.
Thank you for all your help, you have been a mine of information for all of us xx0 -

A bit timeconsuming admittedly but a nice personal touch, helps you know where to deliver your books and ensures you'll never, ever again have an order without knowing where to deliver it.
Sorry for late reply - been on hols for a week.
Yes - I do this, it IS time consuming (although less so now that I have a stamp for my details!!) but you don't get any orders without knowing what address they came from.
Although I did still have one house swear blind that they hadn't ordered when I'd written the address on the top and even spoke to someone at the property about the cream she had ordered!!! Just sent the stuff back and that house has been "struck off" until I see different cars outside!!0 -
And Johanne! Don't blame you though, you've had a bit of a rough time lately, and Avon's organisation seems to be getting worse each campaign!
Well maybe you'll decide to have a couple of campaigns off and then give it a go for Christmas ... if not, hope you enjoy all the new found free time you'll have and spend more quality time with your DD!0 -
hey guys thanks for the messages..
ive got my c13 delivery to do this week as dont wanna let customers down... have discovered ive only earnt £33 for the 3 weeks work because ive been recharged for items i applied for credit for then sold on... should have had the money from reselling to cover it .. BUT because the money went missing ive had to use that money to pay my last bill... so im now using my commission THIS time to pay for them goods id applied for credit for!!
Sales were CR*P anyway leaving me with only £150 commission AFTER lots of creative ordering to boost my commission and reselling items in my stock box! So the £120 recharges have hit me hard!
im looking at other options to supplement my income which arent so pressurised and are more "family friendly" and then maybe id keep on as a f+F rep for my good regulars... but until then i HAVE to plough on as i have bills to pay! LOTS of bills to pay.....
Id promised my customers a pink pamper party too and so think i should do that... maybe sell off my stock cheap to try recoup some money??? Ive got the fundraiser pack already..
god see even when i wanna quit theres so many things i feel obliged to keep doing it for!!!0 -
I wish to become an avon rep and have filled in the form online on fri. any ideas how long it takes for someone to contact you. Alsi i have appliedfor a new bank account as my oh dosent want me to use the joint account - do you think this will be a problem?
no its not a problem - I pay our avon money into my partners old bank account, and pay both mine & his bill from there with no problem at all.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Various contributors on this thread have done a List of Uses for SSS; if you look back you should find at least one posted up o
I have posted a list on the first page, but your leaflet sounds ace.0 -

yep! Nods head vigorously. Had one of those. Then she approaches me in the street asking for a book, denying the previous order. Says she will leave it out, never does. Says she will post through my door, never does,so now just put her on ignore. If she asks for one, will give her an expired one, as it won't matter, if I never see it again.0 -

Never had that particular problem but guess all our probs are a 'variation on a theme'. My latest one is an elderly lady, who was getting a bit down about where she lived so I did my best surfing on the Internet to help her. Despite my telling her only to pay for orders when I delivered them, she insisted on putting a cheque in with her order and asking me to leave the goods in the cupboard next to her front door. No probs for a few campaigns but last campaign there was a note saying how she'd left me a cheque and never received her goods. I know for a fact I didn't present her cheque until after I'd left the goods in her cupboard but how do I prove it?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hmmm.... think that will ring bells with lots of us! :rotfl:
Am going to take great pleasure in dropping off a note to my similar type customer saying I'm taking a break and I've arranged (temporary) cover for her. Know for a fact that the lady I've asked to cover won't do all the too'ing and fro'ing I've done so maybe when/if I drop her a note in again in a few months saying I'm back, she may be a little more 'user friendly'. (Or not, in which case..... bye!!!)
