Macca - did you apply through the official avon website?

Hi yes I did, does that make things better or worse? ;-0

It means it was an area manager that signed you up, rather than a sales leader - which will explain a lot more about why they just chucked you in at the deep end with no help!

I'd suggest contacting avon to get your account closed down, explain why. Then you should be able to join under a sales leader, who should be more help. Most sales leader are pretty good, theres obviously still some bad ones....but as we depend upon you putting a first order in of at least £78 before avon refund us for the brochures we provide you - you'll at least get more help in your first few weeks. ASM get there books free, so they aren't bothered, avon pay them regardless, though they do have certain targets to hit.

Hmm.... Sad but true and not good. :(

Has anyone else had personal experience of resolving such an issue? Just wondering if Macca does complain about her ASM (seeing as how it's the ASM that has responsibility for assigning territory - or at least can be helpful, or otherwise, in that respect) how easy/difficult is it likely to be for her going forward?

Just wondering, Macca, whether you might be better missing a campaign or so i.e. not bothering to continue and then signing up via a SL - presumably you'd need to do it in a relative's name though although..... to those 'in the know' if Macca doesn't place any order would she still be tagged direct to her ASM if she re-applied, say, in a month or so?

This sort of thing really makes me angry

Hi all, I do Avon on quite a small scale. I earn around £20 - £50 a time after books and sometimes spend this on products for me and for raffles for my customers. I drop books Saturday, pick them up the next Saturday and drop goods the next Saturday.

My friend has signed up and I have been encouraging her and advising as best I can (she lives in a different town fom me) she is enjoying it too and trying to build her custmer base.

It is all thanks to you all on here all your tips and advice, I would have been lost without you all, please dont leave, as I will be asking for more territory and really feel supported by you lot more so than by my SL who I never hear from.

So do I e mail Avon to get my next set of brochures? How long before orders have to go in? etc etc.

    Macca

Macca, you can still use the books your ASM gave you, although you should have your next campaign's books too. ASM's are supposed to reply within 48 hours, but I emailed one of my new one's and have still not heard from her. It was just too make sure that extra territory I have been given shows on SMA.

Macca, we need your postcode to tell you when your next order is due in. You can just PM it.

I would email Avon and tell them what has happened and that you haven't been given your next set of books.

You can still prep the books you have been given and get them out. Show them to family/friends, ask them to take them to work for you.

did you ask for territory as well?

Johanne - sorry for the late post but just catching up after being out all day yesterday.

I'm so sorry you're giving up. You've worked so hard and come so far since you started. I'm hardly in a position to persuade you to continue, having just given up myself, but if it's just a 'dip' then perhaps back off and keep your account going for a couple of campaigns to see how you feel then?

In any case, please stick around on here as your experience will be valuable to other people, and we would miss you.

:grouphug: - have a dodgy smiley to cheer you up!

Ok need to rant............thursday was day for delivering...one lady (always a pain!) hadn't got the money (despite getting a note through 5 days beforehand letting her know when I'd be coming & how much order was)....she said anytime at the weekend would be fine....tried last night...still hadn't got the money out - she said same time tonight would be fine....you guessed it....she still hasn't got the money!!! So will be texting her this time before I go round again...and she can sodding well wait until towards the end of this week to serve her right pmsl!

On the plus side - some you know me & my asm don't get on....meeting my shiny new asm tomorrow night - she seems lovely so far, I really hope she is more use, or at least not a hinderance!

yes got territory but was a bit too laid back re prepping stuff as wasn't aware of when order had to go in.
my worry is if I complain about this asm now then even if avon sort it won't i be under her again in some way in the future?
No response to e mail. no further brochures.
now know my next order date via this great thread.
will e mail them and let you know how i get on - dd answer a survey about her and slated her!!!

sort of - if you joined under a sl though, they would be the person you contacted about problems etc...they can get you your initial territory via an internet based programme SL have access too, if you need any extra in time, your sl would request that from the asm. there is a person above the asm - the dsm. so any problems, you sl can speak/email them to get it resolved - I've had to do this a few times for various reasons and got stuff sorted. Glad you've found out when your orders due in!
