Thanks Lozza, yea I do like the idea of letting customers choose which samples they want but think I'll make my own, I dont want my customers to just order 5 free samples and no products so thats a good idea saying they get the samples when they spend £5, Thanks0

Yeah they asked...they're on the sl council. I figured if not Avon would just make one anyway, I did ask that my name get mentioned in the hope of some kind of recognition, but obviously not as never heard anything from Avon. Hey ho, I only made them to help my reps, so if it helps others then that's great. Just irratating itll help Avon make more money they could say thank you at the least. Ah well.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Just one word of warning on the 10% offer, it may cost you more than the "freebies" if they place a big order!!
You could tell them the free gift was out of stock as it was so popularBUT instead offer they pick ANY £1-1.50 item "to add to their order this time" instead the most they will cost you is £1.13 if you meet HOV and it encourages them to order this time
See your point, J, and granted you're right in one way,but if a 10% voucher encourages them to order £30/40/50 worth next time isn't that better i.e. 15% commission on a larger order is better than limiting them to a budget freebie? Each to their own of course. One way limits your outlay and the other way encourages increased sales. And, of course, with the voucher if they don't order then it doesn't cost you anything for the freebie anyway..... :cool:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

yeah suppose! To be honest im ready to throw towel in so think i'll bow out this thread... dont have the enthusiasm for it anymore! Lifes to short to worry about avon and the half the cr*p that comes with it.
I wish you all the best in the future with your avon businesses and really really hope you all achieve everything you want
Thanks for all the help and support last 18 months!0 -
We'll miss you Johanne, if you do give up Avon. I don't blame you, as it has been really hard for you. The very best of luck with your life and whatever you do next.
Now starting to wonder if I should give it up too.0 -
Good luck johanne for whatever you do next
awh A at this rate they'll be nobody left lol! Has anything in particular made you feel that way?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I think seeing so many people leaving now and the recent talk about people giving it up.
Also people I talk to, all say, I used to do it but Avon didn't pay me my commission, this was in the very old days, where they sent it to you, I ended up owing Avon money and got fed up and gave it up. I did it a long time ago, it was too much hard work, for too little money.
Although I remember someone trying to convince someone else to sign up with me, and they said to earn £50 for £200 sales is more than you earn in a Sales job and it is guaranteed.
And the last rep who expected a list of customers to sell too, and more money for her sales.
Maybe just going through a bad patch like most people, I have 2 customers who still have to pay me for goods and fed up with chasing. One is supposed to meet me today so I can give the items to her, if she doesn't, they can go back to Avon, no one else buys them. The other, her husband was talking about buying an iPhone, (I would love one, can't afford it), so if he can afford that, she can afford to pay me.0 -
Where's everyone going? All these people who inspired me are throwing in the towel. Johanne you in particular, we were rooting for you to get your PC and I always looked forward to reading your posts and admiring those sales figures. Don't go! We all go through bad periods I'm sure, but just think of the sales in the coming months. Come on, chin up, we need you!!!!0

Chin up A, as they say don't let the b*st*rds get you down! You'll always get awkward customers, and leads, if they get you down that much stop giving them a book. I've done that a few times and much happier for it, I'm not gonna deal with peoples crap just to make a few extra quid. Keep Avon on the back burner a bit, and see how you feel in couple of campaigns time, soon well get Xmas sales coming in!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
