Reminds me why I'm packing up
Can anyone remind me what is the minimum I need to do to keep my account ticking over for a while. As I've qualified for the Advance Techniques freebies, I've no intention of closing it just yet
My ASM says you need to order 1 item, any size/price but if it's really small/light it will come via royal mail not courier. They'll also send you 1 brochure and charge you 55p xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
LOL Elliebee. Just makes me laugh. It is supposed to be our business, we are self employed, working for Avon, but if we don't put an order in, we have to justify our reasons.
I was reading on Facebook, and some of the ASM's and SLs were saying how a lot of their team are on holiday at the moment and that is why they are not putting in orders. I suppose at the end of the day they are worried about their commission and income and that is why they are chasing so hard to make sure people put in orders. Oh well. That's life.
You need to make sure you order the order forms - as they are free, this keeps your account "active" and qualifies you for a book at 55p, which you can return for a credit, but postage is more, unless you give it to the courier when you receive your AT freebies.

That's a good idea, Aureol, never occurred to me to order something 'free'! :T
Quick query, I signed up a newbie last campaign but she's not sure whether she wants to continue or not. Can she just miss a campaign until she makes her mind up (hopefully) or do I need to order her something (free) to keep her account alive? Realise the 2nd £7.50 charge will click in even if she orders something free, which is why my thinking is just to miss a campaign.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

yes, I had one who signed up but never ordered anything, her account is still active now.... I assuming after so many months Avon will remove her details from me, I suppose they are just waiting for her to contact them to say she has resigned or so many months of inactivity to remove it.
So answer is yes, she can miss a campaign without ordering anything at all, so she doesn't get charged £7.50.0 -
Hi,
I am after a bit of advice from any S/L's.
I am interested in the above. I am a fairly new rep but have had good sales and increasing customers each campaign.
Do you find S/L worthwhile?
I am a bit concerned that it could take up quite alot of my time and then this could have a negative effect on my own sales for little gain. Maybe this is not the case so I would appreciate any advice you could give me before I make up my mind.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Thanks
Hi Hayston,
Going by my own personal experience, short term it will actually cost you money to become a S/L but if you're serious about doing Avon and convinced you're in it long term then it should be worth it...... Least am hoping so.
SLeadership is not for the fainthearted - you'll spend a lot of time looking for new recruits, signing them up - if you're lucky (quite often people 'interested' change their mind either before you actually visit and/or even worse after you've visited, signed them up and given them free books! In those cases you're faced with the decision to either spend petrol - and more time - to collect your books or just write off the cost.) Your own sales will definitely 'suffer' purely and simply because you haven't got the time to go finding new customers as well as new recruits (unless you're Wonder Woman, of course) and in some cases you may find yourself giving some of your own customers/sales away to help your team member(s). Didn't intend to do that at all but some newbies are very shy and sometimes it's just easier to build your team by reducing your own sales.
Then, of course, there is ongoing support re. queries from your team members; some will be excellent at keeping in touch so you can resolve any issues; others will 'hide away', ignore you and then just fade away (again a lot of work for no return.)
Sometimes it's a real juggling act to make sure your team members meet their own targets and get the most out of Avon so they'll continue. It all takes time.
You need five reaching MOV on your team before you qualify as a SL; I'd actually lined five people up, all of whom really wanted to join (definitely won't bore you with any more details) right at the start so I thought it would be an easy transition from rep to SL. How wrong was I? Took me 5 campaigns to actually qualify:eek: i.e. get 5 team members hitting MOV.
That's all the downsides; Sales Leadership can be a full-time job on its own - but I LOVE IT! :T (Yes, am officially demented! :rotfl:)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks, Aureol, will stick that one on the back burner then and just 'worry' about the others! :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi Hayston, I am also thinking about becoming a S/L. If you read back to my Post 641 in this forum there should be some useful info that follows.
I’m ordering the Herve Leger Femme perfume; I’m planning on giving two as presents so hopefully someone will buy the third one! I was just wondering if that would count towards the order value for the campaign you order it in, or the campaign you pay for it in? If it’s the one you order it in I might have got HOV!*fingers crossed.*
Read my further post too Chazolate.
As for the MM, sorry to tell you but the award sales will come later i.e. in two campaigns time.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi, I'm new to the board but have been lurking for a while, as you do.
I have been an Avon rep for just over a year and tick along quite nicely. I don't have massive sales but usually around the £200 mark which isn't too shabby.
I was just wondering if you could help me with a query. I have a load of returns this month and was wondering if I could deduct the amount from my outstanding balance or if I have to wait for them to receive them and the credit is showing on my account.
I've only had one return before and it was only a small amount so not an issue. This month I seem to have masses of them and it soons adds up.
Many thanks for your help.
