    Hi Guys :D
Ive just enquired about becoming an avon representative. Hopefully il hear from the local sales leader soon.

I just have a few questions

How do you pay for the orders? Do people give you the money then you get an invoice and have to pay that amount and anything left over is yours?

Also ive read on this forum about creative ordering, What is that?

Last one, can I be an avon representative for family+friends and work collegues, or do I have to have a set few roads that I post to?

    Thanks in advance guys

HI I got the bargain box from HT for £50 for 50 items. I was really impressed as alot was current items and only a few was not in the book. I got it with the intentions of free gifts and raffles etc but have had orders for stuff i had which is ok when items are £5or £6 and i only paid £1 each.

How do you pay for the orders? Do people give you the money then you get an invoice and have to pay that amount and anything left over is yours? Yeah - you get until your next order is due to get your balance paid, so plenty of time to get orders delivered and money paid. You can either pay the money into your account then pay online (completely secure, they don't keep any card details) or pay at postoffice / hsbc bank, though theres a 50p charge for that.

Also ive read on this forum about creative ordering, What is that? As we can order from both the current & previous campaigns brochures, sometimes a customer may have ordered an item at say £10 from teh current book, but its only £5 from the previous book. Up to you whether you pass on the saving or pocket the difference yourself - for f&f I give them the best offer, but territory customers I pocket the money as it helps to pay for brochures, samples etc and makes it more worthwhile. Plus sometimes you can get yourself bits for free that way to.

Last one, can I be an avon representative for family+friends and work collegues, or do I have to have a set few roads that I post to?

Up to you - lots of people just sell to f&f to make a little extra and buy themselves stuff cheaper. I sell to territory as well but thats through choice. A lot depends on how many people you know who want to order, and how much work/money you want to make from it.
    Thanks in advance guys

Was it a fairly mixed lot of items? Like across the whole ranges? Always wondered about it, but never actually ordered one!

  • Back to the whole robe saga...
I have already delivered some C12 orders that were over £10.
Can I now back order the glimmersticks for those orders in order to qualify for the robe or is it too late now?
    Thanks

corse you can - and don't forget, avon won't know who has ordered what - divide you total orders by 10 so you know the maximum amount you can claim ;)

there was debate about this on the pc forum... general opinion there was you will be able to backorder the glimmerstick IF you backorder £10 worth of goods too only.

and can i be controversial here...... i dont think we really SHOULD be ordering lots or robes that arent for customers taking part in the scheme... Its not fair on those on the later mailplans whose customers might want to take part but all the stock may be gone!

I know there are ALOT of reps with "stock" of the white flip flops from c10 who are now selling them on to other reps who have been unable to get them direct from avon! this is really unfair in my eyes are these reps then have to pay out their commission for the postage charges (or even a premium on places like ebay etc) ....AND dont get the award sales, AND cant return them if there was a problem. And the person who is selling them on is not out of pocket AND keeps their sales figures and maybe even in profit! Whereas if everyone had only ordered those for the orders they needed to fulfill OR sent back the ones they dont need now there is a shortage... then reps who are waiting may actually get them from avon and not have to disapoint their customers !!

Sorry i know alot of people wont agree with me on this... but i think in the spirit of "avon karma" we should think of other reps and how they are going to have to deal with disapointting customers who want to take part in the scheme if there are stock problems because theres 1000's of robes sat in reps stock boxes elsewhere just because we "can" fiddle the system if we want to!!

sorry if ive offended anyone.. but its just my opinion.

Some very valid points Johanne :) I was only going order robes for a couple of my big spending customers as they regularly put in large orders. But I could make them aware of the offer, and say as they already spend £10+, to just order the glimmerstick, etc for the 3 campaigns, isn't going to be much for them and they get a lovely robe out of it. I am taking everyone's word that already has one, they are lovely :) x
