Thinking about it but not sure - I did alright with the Outspoken - it's knowing how many to go for though. Buying the samples or having a tester bottle is an absolute must tho.
They are also launching the Bond Girl in C17 too.0 -

Oh!!! I thought it looked quite large in the piccies. Thanks MC.dont want to dampen your spirits but i submit c13 today and the rose weekender is showing as Out of stock do not reorder!!!! (sure it was that when it was last in the book too!!) Sorry to tell you!
the feather bath pillow also has a big red cross too if anyone is ordering them.
i CAN reccommend the heidi organiser bag though! The big shiny pvc one! I can fit 40 avon books in it!! also about 8 medium sized orders!! and day to day i can fit all sorts of toys/nappies/purse/sunglasses/etc in it too!! Its great!:D
Oh no....I was looking forward to getting oneThought it was a good price and wouldn't last long!!! I suppose all the trendsetters get the pick of all the best bargains
Also, thanks for the Heidi recommendation. Are the handles large enough to fit over your shoulders to carry? or is it just an elbow bag like in the piccie? Was just thinking that 40 brochures must be quite a weight on the elbow. I only get 25 in the tote bag I use and that is heavy enough!!!Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -
No I won't be doing the money maker...never sell perfume that costs more than about £7 so even giving people a discount and leading up to Xmas I doubt i'd sell any. Only mm I've ever done was the lotus shield and that's only cos we got some free stuff from the mm deal and withthe incentive Avon were doing I wanted to offer it at £4 to increase sales.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

...Sorry i know alot of people wont agree with me on this... but i think in the spirit of "avon karma" we should think of other reps and how they are going to have to deal with disapointting customers who want to take part in the scheme if there are stock problems because theres 1000's of robes sat in reps stock boxes elsewhere just because we "can" fiddle the system if we want to!!
sorry if ive offended anyone.. but its just my opinion.
Completely agree johanne. I think that I am going to have this issue with the Morgan Weekender bag. I have an order for one from a customer and I wanted to get one myself. They are showing OOS on Avon now but someone is selling 5 on ebay :mad:Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -
Hi Guys
Ive just enquired about becoming an avon representative. Hopefully il hear from the local sales leader soon.
I just have a few questions
How do you pay for the orders? Do people give you the money then you get an invoice and have to pay that amount and anything left over is yours?
Also ive read on this forum about creative ordering, What is that?
Last one, can I be an avon representative for family+friends and work collegues, or do I have to have a set few roads that I post to?
Thanks in advance guys

Hi Nula,
Welcome to the Forum and good luck with your Avon business. You may find that you're within reach of a Sales Leader, who contributes to this thread in which case you could be off and running before you know it! :T If you'd like to post up the first bit of your postcode then maybe you could strike lucky....
If you've enquired via the Avon website, chances are that you will be signed up by an Area Sales Manager (employees of Avon) rather than a Sales Leader.
As for your queries, yes, you're invoiced for your goods, you deliver them, collect the cash, bank it and then pay Avon the nett/discounted price within 13 days.
Creative ordering is many and varied but basically just means you maximise the value for either yourself or your customers via various means. Every campaign is different but your SL should help guide you, certainly for your first couple of campaigns at least.
No, you don't have to have given territory if you don't want to 'walk the streets'; you can just do Friends and Family i.e. basically anyone you know personally or come into contact with, including neighbours.
Hope that helps and good luck again.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I have already delivered some C12 orders that were over £10.
Can I now back order the glimmersticks for those orders in order to qualify for the robe or is it too late now?
Thanks
If you've already delivered your C12 orders then, whilst I'm not sure, I would think that Avon will have drawn a line under those orders. You can, of course, back-order C12 in C13 though and order as many Glimmersticks as that order qualifies you for.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I've done it as it's an EdP so hopefully will 'last' a bit longer than the Spotlight, which I love but just 'disappears'.....
Avon Calling Centre (or whoever it is that pushes the Avon/MM offers) have been pushing this MM hard today from what I'm told by some of my reps.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

and can i be controversial here...... i dont think we really SHOULD be ordering lots or robes that arent for customers taking part in the scheme... Its not fair on those on the later mailplans whose customers might want to take part but all the stock may be gone!
I know there are ALOT of reps with "stock" of the white flip flops from c10 who are now selling them on to other reps who have been unable to get them direct from avon! this is really unfair in my eyes are these reps then have to pay out their commission for the postage charges (or even a premium on places like ebay etc) ....AND dont get the award sales, AND cant return them if there was a problem. And the person who is selling them on is not out of pocket AND keeps their sales figures and maybe even in profit! Whereas if everyone had only ordered those for the orders they needed to fulfill OR sent back the ones they dont need now there is a shortage... then reps who are waiting may actually get them from avon and not have to disapoint their customers !!
Sorry i know alot of people wont agree with me on this... but i think in the spirit of "avon karma" we should think of other reps and how they are going to have to deal with disapointting customers who want to take part in the scheme if there are stock problems because theres 1000's of robes sat in reps stock boxes elsewhere just because we "can" fiddle the system if we want to!!

See your points, J, and guess I'm one of 'the guilty ones' re. the flip flops however when they dropped the price to £10 I loved mine so much than I knew they would just fly out the door, which they did. I ordered a few extra to make sure I could offer them to my customers at a great price rather than the £15 that they very quickly went back up to. Similarly, I've posted a few pairs out to other reps at £10 + p&p, which actually as they'll have sold them @ £15 still allows them some profit (albeit no award sales). I'm currently using two pairs myself anyway (one, which is quite 'dog eared' now and one 'for best') and recently posted some as a 'thank you' gift to a friend for their hospitality rather than order them some flowers - she's well chuffed and so am I! :T
Wouldn't dream of going the E-Bay route though; never sold anything on there and don't understand why Avon don't stamp down on those reps, who do as that must surely contravene Avon's T&C's?
As for the robes, yes, I shall be ordering some extra but not going silly. I have quite a few newbies I signed up recently so they won't have had the opportunity to take advantage of the offer just because of when they signed up so I'm going to use the robes as a bit of an 'incentive' and/or a 'thank you' to them for their hard work. Really can't see that there's anything wrong with doing that. I do have quite a few customers, who order every single campaign and not one has even mentioned/queried this offer with me. In my experience, running a loyalty offer over three campaigns to customers is a total waste of time. None of mine have the head space to take advantage of an Avon offer that demands ordering three items over a 2-3 month period. Sorry, Avon, life's just tooooo short to keep track of such a prolonged offer for the average 'Jo Public'!
And staying on the subject of the robes...... Why were we reps encouraged to actually buy them in HT when our customers can now get them free? Sorry, most of the time I love doing Avon but sometimes how they structure the offers really T's me off so I have no guilt whatsoever if I manage to 'come out tops' occasionally.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I so agree MC. As a fairly new rep, I have noticed already that it is wise to check prices of things in future brochures before buying from HT as sometimes they are cheaper in the actual brochures (when you take off your percentage) aswell as adding to your actual sales figures. Seems to me like they try and scam the reps sometimes...silly Avon :cool:Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0
