It's great so many of you manage to make Avon work. I started last year and only lasted 4 months as after my first 2 orders I just wasn't making any money at all.
    Saved: £1566.53/ £2000
  • Hey all, was intending not to do much dropping over the summer hols. Just deliver to customers that have bought from me before, but it is just too addictive (you can tell I am new :rotfl:). I am sooo loving going around and meeting people and getting orders. Spoke to a lady the other day who had misplaced her brochure as she had had her baby 2 days prior (on the day I delivered it) in the bathroom and the whole thing only lasted 2 mins...not even one contraction  (sorry if this is too much info for some :o). Anyway, gave her another brochure as she was gutted she hadn't had a chance to look through. I think I shall be giving her a little free gift if she orders, to pamper a new mum ;) Anyway, it's for reasons like this that I do Avon, to meet new people and have fun. Even my kids love coming out to brochure drop as they love the attention they get. Hope this feeling lasts :j
    Everyone loves a bargain

Am I right in thinking that if I order a money maker I can send them back if I dont sell them?
No more orders for me. Going to have another walk to see if people I have left notes with have put them out and then Il put my order in tomorrow night. :)

    Hi dizzybella

that is correct, you don't get charged for 2 campaigns for your moneymaker. Then when you see it on your invoice, if you haven't sold the items, return for a credit, but don't do it before you see it on your invoice! Then you pay your invoice - moneymaker and any other returns.
  • I'm just waiting for DS to wake up from his nap so I can go and collect my books from my first door to door. I did 15 houses, I really hope I get some orders. Have given books to my sister to take to work, got some to take with me to work tomorrow, and gave some to mates who may buy.

How do you guys manage to sell so much? I'm absolutely stunned when I read that you sell £240-£300 worth!!!

Im only on my second order and got £300 worth. I don't know how many brochures you had but I'm guessing maybe 20?
I always have 30 and it means the trip out is more worthwhile(I allow about an hour for pickups)the extra 10 brochures only cost another 96p and will save you a lot of work!
I make sure I take out enough new slips to reprep my brochures so I can put them straight back out if possible-this would take another half hour to an hour though. I ensure I have new order forms made out with my name and number on them also so replce the used ones. On average if I put out 30 books I collect 25 and put them straight back out so that is hopefully covering about 55 houses over a week. I leave them for about 4 days and Im trying to keep to the same days each week. I will put out the c13 brochures and do my delivery on Thursday in one fell swoop! Whatever I don't collect moneywise on Thursday I will return for on Saturday(I had all the money in 2 days last time)and I will collect the books on tuesday. They will then go straight back out to be picked up Saturday and so forth.I will also pop out the books on the Saturday trip to the ones who will be getting C12 brochures so I will have out about 50 brochures altogether(allowing for some losses)
This will just leave my own road to do on the last-when Im feeling like I need a rest-Im going to always do my own nearest rd last! Start the round far away is what I do-and work my way home. It worked beofre when I did it and it worked on my first campaign. Believe in it is my recommendation-you will get the sales as long as you keep at it!
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults
  • I have just received my order this morning and have two items which are shown on the invoice but not delivered. Do you just email Avon and ask them to send the items, this is a first for me, but don't want to let customers down again bearing in mind that flip flops and pedometers haven't turned up again!

Rant - What is the point of giving us stock indicators before we order when they are obviously not up to date. Every single item I ordered had a green tick, which I was surprised about bearing in mind the flip flop fiasco, but when the order arrives, they are not in stock. Also the pedometers were promised with the C12 order (ordered two camps ago) and they still have not arrived. Sorry rant over, but I get embarrassed telling the customers that they are not here again!

    Morning Avonettes,

I've had quite a success with recanvassing as I've offered an Introductory Free Gift with every order over £5.

I've looked through the catalogue and marked pages where goods are on offer at £1 or £1.25 and invited people to choose their own free gift from these pages. I've picked up 4 orders after recanvassing about 20 houses - the orders totalling about £70 (No order was less than £10 so I still made money on every order). It encourages the customer to look through the catalogue & highlights the really cheap offers.

Have a good day everyone, & Avon, if you're reading this 'Get Those OOS Items Sorted Please!'
