 Hello Avon peeps
I have just met with a lovely Avon lady who's signed me up to give being a rep a try. We're struggling for money at the minute, and I work Mon-Thurs 9-5 so am hoping Avon will fit into my life.
I have asked if can start from C14 in order to give me more time to make £78 worth of orders. I'm going to wait till the end of C15 to see if it's something I can feasibly carry on with, and if the answer is yes I'm going to register with inland revenue then Would that be ok d'you think? I'm really excited, have been reading this thread for tips, designing and printing off flyers to include in my books, and planning my route around my 2 allocated streets'estate.
Hope it goes well, I will keep posting here to update*** PROPHECY_GRRL****** DEBT FREE AS OF 17/10/11 - I DID IT!!! ***0 -

Aw bums, I've not been keeping receipts for stationary, I've spent a fair bit on labels, staples, ink for computer.
It's not just the effort I'm annoyed about. We don't make much money any way, and now the taxman wants a share?! I wouldn't need to work for Avon if the taxman didn't already take like £500 of my pay every month!!Brand spanking new Avon Rep C12 £440.39 :j C13 £321.25 :j C14 £174 so far0 -
Yes, Avon recommend you register as Self employed and let Inland Revenue know about your avon income. The number for the helpline is on the first page, first post, and they offer a free course in how to do your self assessment which is very useful!
There's a website with a form to fill in

when you signed up to Avon it was in the T&C's. Did you really think you could just pocket what you made? You could do, but i wouldnt run the risk of being found out!C7 - 221.05 :j C8 - 308.07 :j C9 - 250.84 :j C10 - £525.25 :j:j C11 - £467.91 :j C12 - 491.44 :j C13 - £442.09 :j C14 - £357.95 :j0

Alright, chill! I didn't mean contacting Inland Revenue was more hassle than it was worth, I meant Avon was more hassle than it's worth, I would never try and avoid paying tax! I then went on to give the website I used to sign up!Brand spanking new Avon Rep C12 £440.39 :j C13 £321.25 :j C14 £174 so far0 -
