Well folks - after almost 3 years as an Avon Lady, Ive finally thrown in the towel
I've not been too well for the last couple of campaigns (nothing serious, just an ongoing niggly problem, but was on antibiotics last week which made me feel yuk!) and having to cope with a large delivery last week when OH wasn't around to help was the final straw!
I've been Avoning non stop for 49 campaigns - never missed one and never failed to hit HOV, so not a bad track recordbut it was beginning to feel very relentless. On top of that we've had so many problems recently with stuff out of stock which makes life even more complicated. At almost 67 I don't need the hassle
I'll no doubt stick around on here as I'd miss you all, and in any case I may be able to offer some help to newbies (not to mention keeping up with the gossip)

Hi roosterpotatoes
yes you can! And the best part, returns are free! If you are unhappy with any of your products, you can return them through your rep under the 90 day guarantee.
give her a call, get her to bring a brochure round to you and get ordering!
Oh and the reason there are no product numbers, is when you click on add to basket, they automatically add. But these items are all from the sales brochure
Hi
I hope this is useful to everyone-I too thought that there were no product numbers for the reasons above-BUT if you click on zoom over the item you are looking at you can see the product number! This is very useful to me when ordering and all of my brochures are out! Good when I can't read somebody's writing or the 3 looks like an 8!
Hope this works for everyone! Im referring to the customer Avon site looking through the avonshop ebrochure.:jAnnual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

awh sorry you're leaving - but completely see why, if I didn't need the money so much, I'd be tempted to, been waiting for pedometers for 2 campaigns and still no sign of them..beginning to think they don't exist at all lol!
all the best for the future - you were such a big help when I first started :T so thank you!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Now I thought that C12 wasn't going to be good for me-just my second campaign and I wasn't greatly impressed when I looked through the brochure. However-I've got just over £300 orders this time as opposed to about £240 last time so I'm very pleased!
Lost a few brochures this time due to people being away but I'm already building up my customer trust. One lady called me today to say she is leaving the Avon money with her neighbour as she will be away-I hope I get a lot of people so well organised!
To the newest reps-if you don't finish your territory do keep those brochures and put them out so that you can backorder. Im now about to start C13 so for any roads I had missed I would be putting out my C12 brochures-ordering items along with the C13 order. Hope that makes sense-it will do when you log into Avon. I got a few new customers this time from one of the roads and a couple of notes giving me info as to when to deliver etc-some lovely people-I consider myself lucky. There is of course always one or two rude ones in the beginning-don't let them get to you-after all-you do not have to meet them again!
Walking is difficult for me at the mo as Ive slightly torn my calf muscle walking up Jacobs Ladder(Cheddar Gorge)but I'm plodding on!!! Just don't want any houses with steps! I walked up hilly driveways sideways today-must have looked daft to any onlookers!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

Oh Ellibee! So sorry you are leaving, although I completely understand. I'm 54 and struggle with lack of physical strength & stamina and know it doesn't take much for everything to reach 'overwhelm'. Please continue to be part of our Avonette family & best of luck with the well deserved break.

Hey all! I'm a new rep so i'm feeling pretty clueless at the moment! I have loads of campaign 12 brochures and as I wasn't able to get round all my territory last time I was just wondering if I can hand them out now and put another order in if I get any? Or is campaign 12 closed now? Thanks!0

you can always back order one campaign. So if your on campaign 13 now yes you can use campaign 12 books. Keep your campaign 13 books so you can use them at the same time as campaign 14.0 -
I'm just waiting for DS to wake up from his nap so I can go and collect my books from my first door to door. I did 15 houses, I really hope I get some orders. Have given books to my sister to take to work, got some to take with me to work tomorrow, and gave some to mates who may buy.
How do you guys manage to sell so much? I'm absolutely stunned when I read that you sell £240-£300 worth!!!*** PROPHECY_GRRL****** DEBT FREE AS OF 17/10/11 - I DID IT!!! ***0 -
Awwww Elliebee. Yes, please don't leave us completely. Your hints and tips are very useful, and with 3 years of experience behind you, you will always be able to offer some advice. And keep up with the gossip.
It's funny, people mentioning how they would give it up, I am trying to work out how I can give up my part time job, as it is so not worth the money I earn, for the hassle I get at work, and how I can make Avon work for me, as I would rather be at home with my DS, and teaching him things, then going to work, and finding my childminder is not doing much with him, as her 2 boys are at home for the holidays.
I do like Avon for the products, the lovely people I have met and continue to meet, and the flexibility of working from home. However, I do understand how frustrating it is when you are continuously getting orders and things are missing or wrong.
Maybe Avon need to rethink their ordering strategies. I know they use the trendsetters to try and predict the buys from potential customers but this is not foolproof. But I think even I would know that flipflops are going to be the in thing this summer, and with Avon being cheaper than Nike, Boots.com and other companies that sell fit flops, I would have ordered a lot more stock, especially as the white ones go with most outfits.
Unfortunately there aren't many jobs that let you work from home that have the flexibility to allow you to look after your children and do work. And those that there are, that are well paid, obviously there is a lot of interest in them.0
