  • My ASM has just dropped in a copy of Hello Tomorrow for c18 (I am working on c16) Can I order from HT c17 and c18? Also sorry to sound a bit thick but is the commision/dscount for HT different - less probably?

Has anyone bothered with the reps tools? the bags and demonstration stuff at all? If so did it help? What other demo stuff do you think is worth ordering?

All my c16 brochures are out (40) will collect on Saturday pm and Sunday Pm - wish me luck.
  • Hi I am thinking of signing up to be a rep. This thread may have the answers to my questions somewhere but it is awfully long so apologies if you are repeating any info. My questions:
    1. Are you usually assigned a patch near where you live? I ask because I don't drive and would need somewhere local to deliver the catalogues and collect orders.
    2. Do you have to buy all the orders out of your own money then collect, or do the customers pay when they order? How does it work?

ah yes - sent her a message as well, she'll have no idea what i'm talking about! :D

:D Don't worry. It was confusing. Typical there is already another rep from here on FB - it's not exactly a big town is it?! And my name wasn't very different, but I couldn't think what else to put :o

Yes, go for the e-brochure. I've chosen to add friends who are up to half an hour away from me, or ones I see regularly, to ensure I can deliver. Having the e-brochure means you don't have to worry about sending a catalogue so definitely worth doing. I'm going to send my "friends" a message every time a new e-brochure comes out.

One friend I added recommended I add 13 of her friends so I'm hoping that I may get some new orders there.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO peed off!!!!!
The ONLY person that has messed me around in this delivery is an EX AVON LADY!!! (well, her husband!) I went to deliver yesterday and he said "I havent got any money, can you come back tomorrow" so i did, at 6.30... no answer so i rang the number on the order form(land line!) as i didnt have any calling cards, he answered and said "come back in an hour" and that was about it... so i have just been back and the lights are on, i can hear children squeeling and giggling, i knocked once and no1 answered, the blinds were twitching though, i waited a minute and knocked again, that time the door between the living room and front door slammed shut so i gave it a few seconds and walked away, i phoned and surprise surprise, no-one answered!! I left an answermachine message saying "Hi, its Lucy, your avon lady. I have tried to deliver your order again and no-one answered, though it appeared that there was someone in. Could you ring me on my mobile to let me know if you want the order or not? my mobile number is xxxxxxxxxxx, thanks, bye"

    What should i do next?!

Edit: it was POURING with rain when i tried to redeliver :(
  • Hi everyone,

I have a question about territory orders and new books. I do Avon in France but I operate a one-stop selling approach as my customers are all so spread out. This means, I give a customer a brochure, then they email me with their order. When I deliver their order, I collect the money and then give them the next brochure to look at. This way they only have the new brochure once they have received their order.

However, my husband has just started doing Avon in UK. He originally did just friends and family, but has now got some territory. He has some orders from the first drop of brochures he did. What I am wondering is when do you give the people who ordered the next brochure? Do you give them the next brochure with their delivery, ready packaged in a plastic bag etc and get them to leave it out. Or do you deliver the new brochure before you have the given them their stuff.

    Thanks,
    Rachel

Hullo! This is the thread to read if you want to be an avon rep!! :)

Answer to question 1: Strictly speaking... yes. But it depends if there is any "territory" near you, you could always enquire with a sales leader or area sales manager. I don't drive either but i have a nice sized territory near me.

2: No, avon open a "credit" account for you, you put the orders in, avon deliver it, then you owe avon money, you dont need to pay the money for x ammount of days after your invoice date, this gives you enough time to deliver the items collect the money. If you have an item that hasnt been paid for, you could always do a return x

Cheers for your answer. If you have a credit account with them do they do a credit check on you?

Oh my gosh how annoying! This is where I have absolutely no patience. There's a lady at the bottom of my road in a cottage that completed an order form, I called to confirm and say thanks (it was my first campaign) then she didnt answer the door or her phone for 2 weeks. Then the phone got disconnected...but her window has been open but no-one home for 3 weeks now. STRANGE.

I would give it a few days and send the products back. You can always remain very polite and say you had to send them back but they are more than welcome to order next time. Thats what I did when one lady messed me around with payment. Just smile and they will come to realise you are lovely but won't be messed around.

    help!
I submitted my order about 2 hours ago and a lady has just pushed an £8 order through my door! Can I add it to the order I've already put through or is it too late and will I be charged £2.50 for it?

    thanks ladies for your advice

Just a quick update... I phoned Avon and they have added the items to my order, although they did say they couldn't guarantee it would come with my delivery next week but at least its in their system I suppose!

Thought I'd let you know the outcome incase it helps someone else.
