    Hello,
I've got a customer who wants to return a necklace. Not done a return before and I haven't yet paid the invoice.
Do I have to pay the full invoice price? How does Avon then return the item amount?
Would someone please be kind enough to talk me through the returns procedure or point me to a relevant thread. Have had a look through but couldn't see anything exact.

    Thanks so much.
    Ness

    Hi Nessa,

If you pm me your email address, I can email you a word document detailing the returns process step by step that I was sent.

  • My ASM has just dropped in a copy of Hello Tomorrow for c18 (I am working on c16) Can I order from HT c17 and c18? Also sorry to sound a bit thick but is the commision/dscount for HT different - less probably?

Has anyone bothered with the reps tools? the bags and demonstration stuff at all? If so did it help? What other demo stuff do you think is worth ordering?

All my c16 brochures are out (40) will collect on Saturday pm and Sunday Pm - wish me luck.

    Hi Kitten,

I've only just started in UK but will try and help. If you look on the front of HT18, just below the title, it says something like Order online in campaign ... For HT17 you use in campaign 15, so HT18 you order in campaign 16. And yes you can backorder to HT17 when you are on C16 apart from the clearance items at the back which you cannot backorder.

We haven't bothered with any of the rep tools, am hoping we can get some free by reaching some targets.

Good luck with picking up the brochures at the weekend!

Oh my gosh how annoying! This is where I have absolutely no patience. There's a lady at the bottom of my road in a cottage that completed an order form, I called to confirm and say thanks (it was my first campaign) then she didnt answer the door or her phone for 2 weeks. Then the phone got disconnected...but her window has been open but no-one home for 3 weeks now. STRANGE.

I would give it a few days and send the products back. You can always remain very polite and say you had to send them back but they are more than welcome to order next time. Thats what I did when one lady messed me around with payment. Just smile and they will come to realise you are lovely but won't be messed around.

OOPS!!! The lady of the house just phoned be back and said sorry, her husband is useless! LOL :\ Am delivering on saturday morning, if no-one answers this time, i will send it back!
  • i have the starter pack with the samples.. it may become useful but i dont know whether it is at the moment... it has a nice sample of magicx serum though!!
  • Cheers for your answer. If you have a credit account with them do they do a credit check on you?

I think so... but only like a mini one... asked for my previous 2 addresses (have had 2 in a year) and a form of id and then sent the form off.

I havent been able to get credit for a while and avon have given me credit so i dont know if its "real" credit!
  • Just had a look at my invoice for the lotus shield incentive and this is what I have

My ASM finally called me and said that she can actually meet tomorrow morning!
    Will I get books tomorrow?
Should I put a note in with them just saying who i am?

Been a long time since I was signed up but she should give you 20 brochures for the current campaign (which you can reuse for the next one as back orders). There should be a sign up pack with full details (SL's, help me out here), order forms etc. You want to make sure you get plenty of territory (may take a few campaigns to cover) and that your orders go through the Avon website on your account - not hers.

Introductory notes are good, I usually do tick boxes as well for wanting to see a new brochure such as 'yes, please', 'no, thank you' and 'already have a rep' although mine is all recanvassing. Some reps like to knock and some leave the tick box thingy until they've canvassed a few times. Choose what works for you.

Any other questions and there's plenty of girls here to answer.

    Hi everyone,

I have a question about territory orders and new books. I do Avon in France but I operate a one-stop selling approach as my customers are all so spread out. This means, I give a customer a brochure, then they email me with their order. When I deliver their order, I collect the money and then give them the next brochure to look at. This way they only have the new brochure once they have received their order.

However, my husband has just started doing Avon in UK. He originally did just friends and family, but has now got some territory. He has some orders from the first drop of brochures he did. What I am wondering is when do you give the people who ordered the next brochure? Do you give them the next brochure with their delivery, ready packaged in a plastic bag etc and get them to leave it out. Or do you deliver the new brochure before you have the given them their stuff.

    Thanks,
    Rachel

I've only just done my first order but I am planning on giving customers the new brochure after they have had their order. I think the one-stop selling approach is just being mentioned in the UK, when I was a rep a few years ago didn't hear anything of it but it was recommend to me when I signed up this time. So I guess do whatever suits you best :)

same here, i've got a bad credit rating but this didnt seem to be a problem. presumably because its only a small amount of credit really that we are given as reps.
