    Hey

Is there any way you can tell what has been credited to your account? Ive just looked on my account balance and it says merchandise adjustment for £1.20, but i can think of anything i have asked for credit for for that amount! Also just looked at my last invoice for the lotus sheild credit and it is still totally wrong, they originally credited me for all 10, but the credit price was £10, then i said i only want to return 3, and they have added the extra 3 onto the 10! so im apparently returning 13 for a credit of only £13!!! Im quite worried i wont get my reward for them now, i have emailed and asked about this but that was days ago and still no reply!

the only way is to email or call them. You could ask your SL to call and hopefully she gets a better answer and more sense about it all.

And haven't given out all my C15 books yets.....

    Phew! Got there!
OK so my first order is in and totals £170. Using my 40 books I managed to get round about 100 houses  but it got really tiring as now 33 weeks preggers and quite a lot of books never came back (down to 10 now).

At least I got to find out who likes Avon (ladies asking me to "always deliver brochures please") and who doesn't (ticked "no avon" box on the front of the bag) and so far I've picked up 15 customers.

I did get 2 orders from customers at a hairdressers as well as a lady in a cottage but went to collect payment twice, phoned them etc and decided to cancel the orders as I don't want any messers at all. Just pre-poayment customers who I can sweet-talk with samples;)
Sounds harsh but with a new - born baby and a full time teaching job in spring I just won't have the time for anybody less than reliable!

Know what you mean about crazy old ladies...one lady rang me all flustered because I didn't collect the brochure the 2nd time I visited (she didn't leave it out the first time) and how she wanted a mascara. I said "I'm so sorry I will pop up and see you at 6pm" got there and she was out! Left the order form just saying "mascara £5" and NOTHING else?! Hmmmm. She did look imacculate though when I finally caught up with her yesterday and said she was popping out for a manicure. Going to sell all I can to her:rotfl:
Also had a run-in with another rep who's customer was totally unimpressed with her and wanted me...had to miss out on that sale too (£15).

All together made myself £20 what with the admin fee, a few samples and prezzies for myself.

Hi I'm surprised you got money off customers before there goods arrived! I would never pay an avon lady before getting the goods as its supposed to be cash on delievery !! You may lose customers doing it this way. I've had a few new customers due to reps taking there money but then not coming back with the goods.

I do have 2 ladies who give me cash or a cheque (she asked first, and I've been delivering to her for over a year and half now and she doesn't usually order over £10 so I'm taking the chance) with their order - but that was at their suggestion so that I can post their order through the door / leave it hidden. A neighbour sometimes pops the money through the door on the day we're delivering if she knows she won't be in.....but all of my customers know our address so if we did take the money and do a runner they know where to find us lol. I've certainly never asked anybody to pay me upfront, and don't expect them to.

I'd never ask for payment up front, i've had a few try paying me for stuff upfront that has been missing or telling me to keep change and take it off next times. I just tell them it would confuse me too much which it would lol. Also had a women the other day ask me to leave her stuff and come back the next day for money, i told her i couldnt. Went back next day at 6 like she asked and no one was in and havent been since even though i put i card through. Glad i didnt give it her would have lost out on my earnings!!!

Yeah, I never leave anything without payment its not worth the risk! And at least with my lady who pays by cheque, it means her cheque will have cleared before I deliver her goods so I'll only have bank charges for a bounced payment. I certainly don't ask for payment upfront, I've just a few nice ladies who trust me (some if they're out when I'll be delivering leave the money in the recycling box and I put their order in their lol) and it makes things easier for us - I just write on the order form if they've already paid for their order, that way both me & OH know that its already paid for when we're delivering. If anybody pays for anything thats "to follow", as I write out a new order form anyway for items that are to follow (so that I know who they are for when they eventually arrive!), then I write on that order form that its paid for. Its not as confusing as it sounds. I'm certainly not going to refuse my customers paying me up front, it makes easier for me & them, as they know both me & OH work shifts so sometimes it can be hard for either of us to be available at the same time as our customers lol.

shows I was speed reading your post, I didn't pick up on this before. We are not allowed to ask for money up front before the goods are delivered. It is cash on delivery. There have been some Reps that have collected money, not delivered the goods, and disappeared.

And it is a shame to lose these customers, they may be some of your biggest orders.

I have asked for pre-payment just for the first order. As 10 out of my 15 customers are neighbours it hasn't been an issue and it was also because during the delivery week, there is a chance I may go into labour. I have a friend ready to deliver the goods for me in case I go into labour but I thought it would be too much hassle to expect her to collect money as well. All my customers know where I live (literally around the corner) and in future I will be collecting funds when I drop off their products. I live in a small village where everybody knows each other and it's not been an issue. I just wanted to make the first order as easy as possible.

Still a shame you cancelled those other orders. Never mind, give them another book for next campaign and hope they order :)
