I'll be glad when the canvassing's over!
Had a bit of a frustrating collection. Collection was on Friday for some of my books, some weren't left out so I put reminders in and went back on Sat. Got a few back but some still not left out so I went back today thinking I could at least catch people in (I knocked) and none were left out. That's 5 of my C15s gone, which out of 20 to begin with is a big chunk. The thing is, these houses were all people who had left out and read C14, so I was confident I would get them back. I'll try again when I'm doing a delivery down there on 20th, but otherwise they're a bit out of my way. I'm thinking of putting these further-away streets on one-stop delivery to make things easier.
Had a first-time collection today from a street I've just canvassed, and got 6 back out of 17. Knocked on doors because there were cars on the drives and only 1 person answered (fortunately to say she hadn't ordered but was interested). I use a clipboard to keep track of things instead of a calling book, but I hid it so people wouldn't see the silhouette of a "clipboard person" through the door. I'd previously found Sundays good for catching people in, and only one (the crazy lady) was annoyed about it. People would see me through the window and come out with their brochure because they figured I was "the Avon lady".
I wish Avon did a badge so people could see I'm not selling Bibles or switching gas suppliers. Will have to make my own.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I have altered my slip this time asking people to write their address in the box instead of putting a tick (can't remember whos fab idea that was on this thread but thank you so much, it's a great tip) and have added an apology stating that I had a mixup with brochures and could they fill in the form again if they don't want any more brochures. Worst case senario is I annoy them and they throw away the brochures but at least that way I will still know not to deliver to them again
I’m so glad you posted this! A couple of times I have had notes from people saying they do not want another book and then I think I may have marked down the wrong house! I have not been sure what to do, so I have ended up not dropping a book to both the houses just in case. For some reason it never crossed my mind to drop them in a form to ask and apologise for the confusion, hopefully it won’t result in me being chased down the street.M May11 55886.810 -

I got one from the USA a couple of years back. Says avon and set with little diamante gems. Looks gorgeous but too embarrassed to wear it! Figure it may be worth a bob or two in the years to come.

Hi...sorry but i have another newbie question. I started on Friday with Avon and have managed to hit the £78 target with orders from family/ friends. When I signed up im sure i heard the lady mention about if i hit target i get something (appart from the discount) but i cant remember what?
Also i'm thinking about getting some samples next time for some people, do Avon ever send these for free or shall I go ahead and order some?
Thanks again0 -
emuk I think its samples you get if you hit target so I wouldn't order some just yet
Well done on hitting the target already!

Thank you...I don't want to start by having any territory yet till I get my head around it. Will hold back on the samples0

If you look at your invoices, on one of the last pages there will be a list of items you've returned, with a date that they'll recharge you on. Hopefully from that you can work out which return package it was, then just email Avon saying items returned with barcodenumber xxxx were sent back on x date so please recredit you. They should do it then, you won't need to re apply for credit.
I have had another reply from them saying they are sending out the requested paperwork!!! I take it they are posting me a list of items I have been credited for. Anyway, I shall see what arrives and then battle them again if I don't think it's right. Thanks for your replies :AEveryone loves a bargain :beer:0 -
Can I also ask...I'm on c14 and the order is not in for another week...but i've read some people are on c15? I'm abit confused how that works, as wont the campaigns be out of sync? Thanks...again!0

the whole country is staggered, some are on C14, some are on C15, and there are different submission and delivery days so that avon can cope with all the orders.0 -
I wonder if one of you lovely Avon ladies could find something out for me? For a good many years, I used a product - called 'Hydofirming Night Cream which was the best night cream ever! I've checked on the Avon website but there is no sign of it. It was about six quid and was once praised in Vogue. I'd love to know if it is still available or has taken a different form.
