I feel sorry for whoever had to sit and do the recording. Also the slides, etc.
I used to do training in my old job, and it got quite tedious!0 -
When keying orders, if you could put in the customer name and what they are ordering for your reference only.
Excellent idea - I'm usually in the same situation. Might happen if this Avon Connects thing develops, so we can tie orders to people. We still need them to be counted as a "whole" though or we won't be able to creative order!!0 -

oh yes! But I would like to just have a visual of x customer has bought these items, but for ordering, it remains one long list.0 -
Had a really 'soggy' day yesterday. Collected brochures from top end of village...houses that hadn't left out brochures last time and that I'ld posted a note STILL hadn't left out (down from 40 to 17 now!)...newly canvassed houses most hadn't left out brochures or were SOAKED. But joy of joys, a nice little order from a single lady in a cottage, and the landlady of the pub and all her waitresses are emailing me their huge order :rotfl:
Then canvassed the long road and hit "double territory" where a lady has been covering my road for 3 years but this customer was peed off with her being unreliable - so think I'll carry on and hope she get's fed up!
Definitely need to re-think my strategy for collecting orders and payment together on time. First time customers are having very relaxed views on payment. Think I need to be explicitly clear. £152 so far so hit my higher target yey :j0 -

In France we have the option to enter in all our customer details and then when we enter the order, we can then enter each customer order separately. This has only just been made available to us over here, so it should be possible for Avon UK to also do it this way. When I go to view my order at the end, it has all the customer orders listed separately.
One thing I can't do yet over here, although it is coming soon apparently, is see the prices of each item and view the subtotal. I have a spreadsheet set up where I try and calculate the customer cost and then my cost to Avon, but I always seem to get it slightly wrong until I get my invoice with my order. We can't see invoices online yet either over here. I have an option to click on to see the invoice, but when I click on it, a new window opens but it is completely blank. We have just switched over to using a new website though, so I am hoping that these glitches will get sorted out soon.DD1 born May 2002, DD2 born Dec 2005, DS born Dec 2008. Baby due May 2010! Territory is split into two - 150 houses which I've had since November with approx 45 customers, and 150 houses which I've had since June with approx 25 customers.
Customer base of 70 customers usually equates to 30-40 orders each time - values vary from £1 to £35. Occasionally get orders for £40 or more but VERY occasionally.
I dropped to my November 150 houses every campaign for 8 campaigns.
I am now recanvassing approximately 20 houses from those each campaign.
I drop my June 150 houses every campaign and will do until approx November time.
Will see how I feel in January and might get some more territory then. My aim is 100 customers!!
HTH
So am I right in thinking you don't post brochures to everyone on your territory? Just your ''customers'' that have ordered during the first 8 campaigns?
I'm still working on this, only on my third campaign now so still gathering my ''customers''
Does everyone do this? How often do you recanvass areas?
Thanks0 -

Sorry probably not explained myself very well.
I have a customer list (anybody who has ever ordered - even if its only once) and a prospect list (people who have never ordered).
As soon as someone orders, they go onto my "Customer" list and off my prospect list.
For the 150 houses which I have had since November, I recanvass the PROSPECTS (people who have never ordered before) once every 6 campaigns.
From that 150 I have 45 customers which get a book every time.
For the 150 houses which I got in June, I am canvassing every house and will do for 8 campaigns.
Again, for the 25 customers I have got from that territory, they get a book every time.
Does that make sense?0 -
Do the daily sales deals count towards your next order total?
Can anyone tell me how much it will cost to purchase 40 brochures (8 packs of 5?). Thanks!0
