Hiya, have been on holiday for a couple of weeks so practicaly have missed C13 and have noticed a real drop in custom and momentum :(
Does any one have any ideas/advice to buck things up?
    i
I thought of doing a 10% off all orders over £10/15 any other ideas???
Am feeling a little down hearted and really want to get things going again, Thanks x

C13 (for me and, I think, for some others) wasn't 'one of the good ones' anyway - not sure if because of the catalogue or just the time of year. Pretty sure everyone's sales take a bit of a dive around now.

Think the voucher's a good idea, although having said that I included one in a silent auction basket I donated in June and the customer hasn't used it yet (keep telling myself there was sooo much stuff in the basket that they probably don't want anything else at the mo).

Just a thought - if there's a Money Maker that you think your customers may like, why not offer it to them at a slightly reduced rate?

Fingers crossed dizzybella - hope you get some referrals from it. If you don't, do be disheartened. You can keep trying as people might talk to friends and family, and get them to have a look another time.
Thank you. I have been thinking that I may not get any takers first time but I have 100 postcards so I wont give up lol. :D

That was naughty of your ASM. She should have put you into the next campaign or waited until you came back from your holiday so you would have a full 3 weeks - a normal campaign to canvass your territory.

She should have give you your second set of books now. And then with the orginal 6, you should be able to canvass your territory about 3 times, if you get most of your books back.

The 6 is what I've got left of brochure 14 - I started with 20. I've been round to the houses that have still got them a few times but they are either not in or they just don't answer the door.

PinkPeach, you could ask your Avon Rep to purchase a few perfume samples so you can get an idea of what they smell like. There is a sample for Spotlight. My customer yesterday was telling me how much she loves Pur Blanca and how just a little drop lasts all day. She had put it in her cleavage area and during the day the smell was wafting up at her and she was loving it.

Not sure what 50's Glam and 60's Mod smell like.

Can you get some more books from your upliner? They should give you some tips too on how NOT to lose so many books.

    Good luck.

I'm going to ask her the next time I speak to her. My tip for not losing books is 'if you don't get it off them after calling round a few times - don't give them one in the future!!':rotfl:

The girl who has decided she doesn't have the money to pay for her order also said that she would order off me the next time. Why does she think I'm going to be stupid enough to serve her again?? It was only last wednesday that I took her order?!

If I send these items back will it affect my commission at all?

Further to Aureol's post, your returns will affect your freebies under the Smart Start scheme. :(

Talking of which, what do SLs think about the changes to the SS scheme from C15?

What is your current campaign? 14? Did your ASM give you any "I called" cards? They used to be yellow and now are pink and you pop them through the door. You tick the box to say I called to collect your order, I will be back on and choose a day tick box, and I always write a note underneath to say Please leave your book outside so I won't disturb you.

If not, have you got access to a printer, can you make your own and put these through the doors of the people who haven't left your book out?

Ask your ASM if she has any more books too, to help you out.

I did deliver books to my territory and lost a few the first time I did Avon. But as I quickly learnt from this forum :T:T:T:T:T:T, put a note on the front of your books, asking people to tick the box, if they don't want to receive any more, it saves you time not having to deliver to them and unnecessarily losing books.

But yes, if you aren't getting books back from the same houses, it is worth dropping them.

It is worth giving this customer one more chance, she may not have any money till pay day and next time she orders, she will keep the money aside for you. I have a customer who always asks when delivery is and if it is not her payday, she asks me to wait until she gets paid to pay for it.

I think sales were down a little this month but not as bad as i thought they would be! Allthough saying that i didnt recanvass this time so need to get into gear to do it next book! Spent an hour last night going through my cousins order as hes just become a rep. He hadnt been told he could back date or anything! manage to get him a extra £14 but he only had a small order for £240 i think. hes well happy now. Was thinking maybe i should look into the sales leadership again!!!

I'm not sure what I think of it. I haven't signed up too many people lately so don't really have a feel for it.

To be honest, when I signed up there were no incentives and it didn't affect me, but it is nice to be able to say to people, you will get free samples, so don't buy any.
