Went to see a customer today, gave her her delivery and she asked me where the short pjs were and the love heart underwear. I said we never ordered any. She said yes I told you last time you were here. I got her to get out her invoices and realised she is missing a lip balm but we never ordered these items. She kept telling me she had asked for them, but I am sure at the time we were saying she couldn't afford to spend the money, so I wouldn't order them.
Her husband always looks peeved off when I go there, because she spends a lot of money on Avon and I keep telling her not to buy so much, but she says it is my money, I will buy what I want. What can I do? If her husband wants her to curb her spending he needs to talk to her in private.
If she's on email, then maybe get her to send you her order that way? I have a customer, who right from the start told me not to call if her husband's car was outside because he's similarly not happy if she spends a lot on Avon.....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well did all bar 2 deliveries today, and collected some of my orders too :j: I gave my books out on Sunday with their order forms saying when I was delivering and how much their order was, and would collect their books tomorrow. However, I got there and all bar 1 had orders (if they were ordering) ready, or gave me my book back. How great was that! Less running around tomorrow collecting books!
However I was talking to a new customer and my naughty DS was running around their car, at first he was just wiping the rain off, which was fine, then I heard a bang, and he had pulled back the back windscreen wiper and let it go!:eek::eek::eek: visions of replacing the back windscreen came to mind. He had broken the plastic covering the handle on the back of the wiper but I was mortified! I offered to pay for a replacement but the lovely customer said no. I made DS apologise and he knew he was wrong as he asked for a cuddle and refused to look the customer in the eye! I am going to get such a bad rep!
Kids will be kids.....Glad it was a friendly customer so no harm done.
Reverting to your modus operandi, my own SL suggested doing it that way (and I even drafted some notes to that effect) but haven't got round to using them yet. Am going on holiday soon so maybe when I get back I'll try to 'retrain' my customers. Certainly, that's the way Betterware do it and it results in increased sales but that's on the original book rather than the new book so wasn't sure it would work with Avon. Nice to know it does! :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

This lady has special needs and it is much easier for me to deal with her face to face. Her husband has special needs but always rolls his eyes when I turn up at the door and she asks for the next Avon catalogue.0 -
MC, what happened to the lady who's order you leave in the cupboard by her front door? Did she find it? Did someone take it, finding out where it was left?
Oh you're soooo good! :T
No progress as yet though, A. Have called a couple of times but she's not been in. She's very keen to move back to her home county so am guessing that's where she's spending most of her time. Did leave her a note but not heard anything from her. Would really like to get it resolved - in the back of my mind is that comment "Did have an Avon lady but she took my money and never delivered the goods...." That's not me at all so will keep going back and back and back (and never leave goods in a cupboard again!)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi, I'm a newbie to Avon. I'm on my 2nd campaign now and already wanting to kill people:rotfl:
I only got one order for my first campaign and went round to deliver it this evening - noone answered the door even though I know they were in (could see them through the window!), so I text her to say that I had tried to deliver it and when was she available for me to try again. She text back saying that she didn't have any money for it!!
I've now got over £30 worth of stuff that I have no idea what I'm meant to do with?! I can't afford to pay for it.
On the plus side, I have nearly got to the MOV alreadyMummy to Oliver - 28/10/09

Oh, that makes sense. Sorry. Also have a one-legged lady, who actually likes to have 'a few' Avon reps so she's not let down.... No man in the background though, so it's 'easier' for her.
Actually, if in your case they're both special needs then that reverts, in some way, to a level playing field so good for you for helping her. Am sure she'll appreciate the extra effort you make to give her your personal time.:TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi Lita, welcome to the thread (and to Avon) but got to admit I'm confused..... Did whoever signed you up not help make sure you reached MOV? If not it means it's actually cost you money to do Avon, which obviously is not 'the idea'!
If you can't manage to deliver your order then you just apply for credit so you won't have to pay for it; don't worry. You'll still have to pay your £7.50 (1st instalment of your set-up fee) though..... Think you need to be contacting your SL/ASM (i.e. whoever signed you up) as it seems to me that you are not receiving the amount of support you should be from your immediate upliner. :mad:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi, thanks for the welcome
, I only managed to make the MOV for my first campaign because I ordered stuff for myself to make it up. My ASM let me order 2 things for her to help also.
If I send these items back will it affect my commission at all?Mummy to Oliver - 28/10/09

:hello: Lita
If you return the £30 worth of products ordered by the customer, your account will be credited by the "your cost" amount, so even if she ordered £30, your credit might only be £26, this is just an example. The problem is to get discount on £78, you aren't going to make much for yourself, if £30 was this customer, some was your ASM's, and the rest was yours.
Can I ask, did you manage to put your books out a few times before you had to submit your order?0 -
Morning MarsdenCuckoo
Ooops, serves me right for looking at this forum when I am supposed to be working, was supposed to put 48p for 5 but was obviously not concentrating yesterday. I order 50 brochures and in my next order will be taking your previous advice about ordering your brochures in advance. There are so many tips I have picked up from here that my ASM has never told me about.0
