Would you like to increase your target for the rest of the month or stay at 12 now and, if you get any more you’ll get the refillable champagne bottle (have a look at the front page, I’m not going mad, really:rotfl:....)
Go on then put me down for another 2 to get a bottle of free champers - 14 OMG!
Had to spend today as had to get dog food I'd been eeking out for the dog until payday so have restocked all his bits and bobs meaning he his stocked up with food and biscuits for at least 2 mths so £38 down but hey that food sack should last almost 4mths. I am noting it down in my diary to see how long it really lasts
Now I've committed to another 2 then I will go for a NSD tomorrow and then either Fri or Sat and keep reminding myself that's what I'm aiming for.

Thank you everyone who took a minute to answer, it was really interesting and helpful to read your answers so far.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

Wow, it's great to see this thread!
I haven't done the NSD challenge since sometime last year! Decided recently that I need to save money, and also eat more healthy. So I'm starting again for August.
Unfortunately August 1 is the date of a Latin Festival in South London so the first day of August won't be a NSD for me... but I'm going to aim for 15 NSDs in August! Can't wait !!!! (Wow, are we really that far through this year already?)
I know what you mean about being August already, today I've heard the C word mentioned a few times on TV..... I don't want to even think about C......***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -
Still have the bill for my car service and MOT to deal with after work tonight, and will be checking the chilled Whoopsies on my way out
Collect car from garage - check. and a minor Ouch!
Had budgetted £48 for MOT - came in at £45.00
Had budgetted £132 for service - came in at £129.30
So total budget for these = £180, and total spend = £174.30
So a not so staggering £5.70 left of the budget
BUT, the plug leads fell apart when they went to take them off (he reckons they were the originals, which have corroded and given up the ghost after 8 years!), so that was an extra £30
Deduct the £5.70 I had left from the service and MOT, and that means I had to find an extra £24.30
At the end of last week, I'd calculated that (with what I currently have in my bank) I could just about afford to pay a 1-year membership for the gym -- providing the car didn't need anything doing to it, so in theory I'm now £24.30 short.
However, I was told at my 'viewing' this morning that there's an offer on membership fees until the end of this month (which only started today, and I saw the email they'd picked up as they opened at 6:30am) - so that's come down by £23 as long as I join before close of business on Saturday, meaning I really only have to find an additional £1.30 which I'm sure I can dig up from somewhereCheryl0 -

Today has been another NSD. So that makes a subtotal of 20 not sure if i will notch up in anymore in the next few days though.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Well, stonking great humungous shopping delivery today (can't you tell today is payday!) and I have just remembered the man is coming tomorrow to look at knackered dryer motor on the Miele washer dryer so will have some forking out to do tomorrow as well. OH has been a typical doom and gloom merchant looking on Ebay at the cost of Miele washing machine parts, hope it is something simple that can be fixed for just a few quid. Somehow I'm not so sure though...... there will still be Friday as a potential NSD - Jack Sparrow, shiver me timbers and buckle my swash, I'm a comin to get yer.....
So, Bdini's chavbash in her back passage (complete with fairy lights, hot dog van and oodles of cider) will be sometime early August maybe? Keep us posted, Bdini, I need at least 2 days notice to hunt for the trowel in my garden shed to put my orange foundation on with.
So, t' NSD virtual outing committeeeee is all gathered to decide on where we're all going this weekend. Options are:
Edinburgh, the castle, the shops, the night life, not to mention all the hairy-arrised men in skirts.....
Paddling off from Brighton beach with Lilo Lil (aka Big Mumma)
Squatting party in Buck House while the family are on their hols - bring your own pu$$y
Which one? Or maybe we can do all 3 if the Tardis has passed its MOT?One life - your life - live it!0
