Hi all, well sorry I've been missing again! Things have been really hectic here. Great news is my Step-Dad came out of hospital yesterday so hopefully things will start getting back to normal now.
As for the NSDs, I've completely lost the plot and I'm pretty sure I haven't had any in the last couple of weeks (my bank balance supports that) I was just about to say I'll stop here and rejoin next month but, you know what, as there are still 4 possible days left to get I'm not giving up! Just 1 more would take me to half my target
I'm not even going to try and catch up with the threads as I'm about 2 weeks behind. I hope everyone is well and clocking up plenty of NSD's. Hugs to those who need them.

Hmm, have not done very well this month, which is weird considering I've been skint! I had another one on Monday which brings me to 7, but I think that will be my last for this month as I am off work after today so we will be out and about.
Oh well, better luck for next month! Hope everyone else has had a better month!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Direct Debit went out this morning, so have been dealing with (hopefully) the last spends of the month
Car Insurance to pay - check
Milk to top up so we have enough until Monday - check
Ice Cream (ditto the milk situation!!) - check
Naan Breads (so I can leave DS with curry for one night at the weekend again) - check
Frozen Mushrooms (almost used the last of what I had in last night) - check
Plain Chocolate (Mr M Value), Soft Brown Sugar and Flaked Almonds for making the Florentines - check
I was sure I had some almonds and soft brown sugar somewhere, but can't find them anywhere
Still have the bill for my car service and MOT to deal with after work tonight, and will be checking the chilled Whoopsies on my way out
But when checking the Whoopsies, I must remember I'm almost out of freezer space (despite eating out of them for the last 2 months, though I don't normally have two ice-cream tubs in there which I do as of this morning) and already have some stuffed pasta in the fridge that needs putting in!

Ugh I'm peeved!!! I had to buy some bits for lunch last night if I hadn't i would have had a NSD yesterday as our cinema tickets were free, and my friend treated me to the snacks and the supper afterwards....... grr kick myself about having to get the stuff for lunch.
Today is a spend say as Mr Looloo's birthday present shopping (although this is not from my monthly salary it is from savings but I will still count it)
Thursday will be a NSD - I've said it now so got to follow through!! HA!
I seet that Hannah asked about whether doing this saved me money, well on the day before pay day this month I had £80 left in my account which is unheard off (and this was not touching any savings last month) so I drew out the £70 I had to pay for a dress that I had ordered from a clothes party at the begining of the month but I had £40 to put into my savings jar (along with some boot fair money) So i can definately say it has helped me. Buying lunch at work is now a rare treat as I just bring stuff from home when I have shopped. It is making me think what I have in my cupboards and fridge and freezer and not just go and buy food on a daily basis. I would never have thought it would have made such a impact that it has! O and plus this is a lovely thread to be on!!
Sorry for rambling and sorry for not catching up on everyones posts - but I am trying to get up to date at work before my week off
take care
catch you later

You're right, kate, we can't possibly go and visit BDINI's back passage with our fairy lights and hot dog van without BDINI there:D:D
Thinking caps on guys, where shall we honour with our presence this weekend - BMF suggested Edinburgh in view of all the comics on this challenge:D (not sure whether she was being serious or not) or we could brave the seaside again.
Oooh, I've just realised, Buck House starts the opening season this weekend - anyone fancy a visit to London to see the Queen:D:D
Making my way though the posts. If someone's already mentioned this..sorry, I'm haven't read it yet!
If we go to Buck House we can take our puddy cats. I've heard that cats like to go to London to look at the QueenAlthough on this occasion she won't be there and is happily sailing around Scotland in her 'little boat'.
Can I ask... Do people find that NSD's really help them cut down on thier spending? Or do you find you still spend as much you just push it to other days?
Definitely helps save money. It stops me popping into the newsagent for those hip fattening choc bars and crisps and hitting the clothes shops when I don't actually need anything (Crazy clothes challenge helps with that as well).......solventsoon wrote: »:jLadyfromVenice: well done for no 16, you’re doing great, 2 more to get now
31 coming up for August then, is it? And you’re very right with your comment, it really doesn’t matter how many we get and what we count as long as we’re helping ourselves spend less money, that’s the aim:T
Errrrrrr, maybe not. Haven't counted up yet to see how many spend days I need. Can I start with a target of 1 and then get as many pressies as possible?..............No didn't think I could.
Today I'm declaring NSD 17 early. We need tea bags as we've run out (didn't check before making shopping list ) but DH said he will get some on his way back from work. Am currently drinking coffee (Yuk!)Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!
