:hello:
Morning all NSD'ers
Hope everyone is having a good day.
I sooooo slept in this morning but must have needed it. Not sure what to do with myself today, I know that in these few days I've got to do shopping, get petrol, get to a couple of meeting things (part time job team meeting and a briefing about 'election door knocking' to see if I can do some as an extra next year along with counting), got to get some bungee straps for the dog crate and would be nice to get out and see a couple of friends. feeling a bit lethargic though so haven't worked out how to fit it all into as few days as possible I mean I'll need petrol if I want to go to Market Harborough tonight or should I put that off etc etc :think: Will have another coffee and try to wake up I think :cool:Just wanted to say thanks to BigMummaF and Maydasha ( hope i got the spelling right:o)
Due to trying out the suggestions you made early this month i have almost got to target for the first time in months
This was my new years resolution and i lurked on the boards when each month i only managed 2 or 3 NSD's - too ashamed to admit that although my target was 6 i wasnt even getting half way there.
Thanks to this thread - and making myself post - i am going to make it this month!
Just wanted to say to all the fellow NSD's you are appreciated - thanks for being patient while i try to get the hang of this
Trin:grinheart
Loved your post TrinI too had been lurking for a few months and not really 'getting it' but doing exactly what you said and making myself post here every day meant I got my first target in June and have managed to keep it up this month
Can I ask... Do people find that NSD's really help them cut down on thier spending? Or do you find you still spend as much you just push it to other days? Also has helped me beat the 'takeaway cos I'm tired syndrome'. At first it seemed like I was spending more (extra milk to freeze, extra bread to freeze etc) and then there is the fact I still smoke
:( (still trying on that one) so it felt a lot buying a large pact of baccy and making sure I had enough filters and rizlas for the month but actually doing it like that keeps me out of the shop for a 'refill' which stops me buying other stuff while I'm in there. It has actually made me more consious of how much I'm smoking too because transferring from the big packet to the small one I carry around means I know what I've got left so I don't get caught in the 'I'll just buy some later' thing. So who knows, maybe NSDs will lead me to seeing the light
Another thing I do now is in the diary I keep my NSDs in I write down what I do spend on spendy days and what on. I was stunned at how much less I have spent this month on c**p than previously
I am beginning to ramble now so I had better go and get that coffee.........
See you all later

Wow, it's great to see this thread!
I haven't done the NSD challenge since sometime last year! Decided recently that I need to save money, and also eat more healthy. So I'm starting again for August.
Unfortunately August 1 is the date of a Latin Festival in South London so the first day of August won't be a NSD for me... but I'm going to aim for 15 NSDs in August! Can't wait !!!! (Wow, are we really that far through this year already?)You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0
