I love those shoes Queenie, I am seriously into pink.
I am going to a huge family BBQ tomorrow and was thinking of wearing an All Saints dress and Nine West flip flops. I will add leggings and a cardy if it is cooler.
I am tryiing to develop some kind of style that actually represents me rather than look like a pi key clone.

Goan - well done to Jon! Which advert is it? I'd like a listen.
6 months in India sounds lovely.
Alex - sorry about your awful car journey, i'm sure another glass of wine is in order.
Welcome to newbies.About rings: i'd look for an antique one and get it altered. Some places may be able to do it for you but when I tried to get a ring altered it was around £10 (however because of the shape they couldn't do it, which is a shame. I got it when I was 11 and had small fingers, who gives a Tiffany ring to an 11 year old?!)
Currently wearing an All Saints tshirt from ebay and Primark leggings.
Nothing exciting happening in my life today, though I did walk past the guy from Maximo Park earlier.0 -
Tsabo, I love All Saints. I love the whole deconstructed look.
I started this year looking like a chav, all short skirts and lipsy dresses.

Have you seen the sale online? Two things accidently slipped in to my basket today.
I think i'm slowly finding myself too.0 -
Hey queenie, thanks for asking. Just literally got home now, not even a little bit tired, and going to try and use my lack of sleep to my advantage as I need to be up about 6 in the morning!
This eve i drove up to Wales to suprise my best friedn as she just got engaged and they were having a party..I'd said I couldn't make it initially ad I was suppsed to be staying the weekend at the dragon boating, but as they didn't have enough pol interested in camping, it's just one day now. So went to hers, about 90mins drive each way but it's not exactly every day a best friend gets engaged!
Tomorrow off to pick up some of the others who are coming dragon boating, then off up to tatton park for the day for the tournament, not really sure what to expect bt
I'm sure it will be fun. Then seeing the new twilight on the way home (ugh)..
Then Sunday I have some mystery shopping to do and ironin to do and return, and will maybe get some mre camp plannning done as it's only a week away arg!

Hi I have been a long time lurker on this thread but have never actually posted before. I just wanted to say to littlewigsey that if you're looking for a second hand ring you should bear in mind that it much easier for a jeweller to take a ring that is too small and stretch it than it is to cut a piece out of a ring that is too big and resolder it so you should err on the small size if you can't find one that fits perfectly.0
-
Wigsey, my wedding ring and engagement ring were both second hand. wedding ring was from Goldsmiths (not sure if they still do 2nd hand jewellery now though), engagement ring was from an antiques shop. DH bought me another diamond solitaire, as my original ring is quite delicate and the claws keep wearing down. This one came from a pawn shop and was a huge bargain. It was massive, but the shop arranged to have it resized for a small charge (less than a tenner).
A lot of antique shops will also have facilities to have rings resized as well, and quite often you'll find you can pay in instalments as well, if you want to spend a little more. Try antiques fairs and be prepared to haggle!
If you're after silver, why not see if you can find a local jewellery maker and get one made? Or art gallery shops often have a selection of young designers on sale at quite reasonable prices.
Piratefairy - I'm sure there's a thread somewhere about ironing from home as a business. It might be in the Up Your Income section.
I'm just off to get changed as we're off to the kite festival - just packed my camera up, sunblock, kite and picnic blanket. Not sure what to wear, probably shorts, tshirt and waistcoat, straw hat and new brown sandals (free as I had some vouchers from surveys).0
