Queen im not sure but an attic sale to me sounds like a house clearnace type jumble sale? Conjures up all sorts of mental images of vintage furniture and antique treasures! You shud go and find out and report back!! :)

More coherent post tmoro I promise, had a great day but I'm so tired have taken a couple of sleeping tabs and turned the phone onto silent and plan to sleep as much as I can!
  • morning everyone...

one carboot down and one to go :D I love sundays. Managed to pick up a handful of crime books to keep me going, a denim waistcoat for 50p, a huge pack of incense for 50p, a fab locket for 20p and a couple of other bits, including a dress for daisy which i'll wrap up and post tomorrow.

Right grab some breakfast and get ready for the next one :)

    Will report back later x

    Morning all

toyed with the idea of going to the car boot this morning but just feel generally worn down at the minute, slept for 10hrs last night which is unheard of for me, maybe its the warm weather we've been having lately and we're just not used to it, I don't know. But the forecast looks good for Thursday so might go to the booty then, plus the DS's will be at school so I'll be able to have a good mooch around in peace.

So currently slobbing around the house, have had about 100 charity bags delivered over the last week, ok so 100 is probably a slightly over the top but about 7, 3 are currently filled as I feel like the house is ready to burst sometimes and am in a 'clearing out the clutter mode'. So due to the slobbing the current outfit is:

    M&S black crop joggers
White and black tshirt freebie from Mam

Hope everyone has a great day

Morning all. Car boot this morning wasn't great. My mum did pretty good on the clothes front. I got: cut off Levis i'll make in to shorts (£1), 2 pairs of vintage sunglasses (50p each), grey Nike hoody (£1). Best of all is a really lightweight travel bag which i'm going to take on holiday and will help a lot in the 15kg luggage limit as my case wieghed 5kg on it's own!
  • second one was just as good, but it was so rammed could hardly move. Picked up a black leather topshop bomber style jacket £1, another ceramic hen for £1 (after the long search for one I've now got 2 bought fom the same carboot sale on different occassions!), another crime fiction hardback 50p, 80's jacket 50p, a pair of leather sandels £1, little chess set 50p (I'm going to teach darling boyf to play, if he picks it up I'll keep an eye out for a huge wooden one but for now this little one will do), a soul cd and water mediation cd 40p each, a pair of brand new tailored trousers which are narrow at the bottom and wide at the top (unsure what you'd call that style) £1 and a linen topshop pinstripe jacket for £3 which I thought was a litle steep but I did really like it, and after trying it on decided I loved it enough to part with three whole english pound.

so all in all a good morning, was going to volunteer this afternoon but I'm crying off, am shattered after a couple of late nights/early mornings and travelling yesterday, so instead I'm going to do a little bit of cleaning and chill out, might even treat myself to a long soak in the bath with one of my new books.

Am slobbing about at the moment in wide leg black jeans, black t-shirt, denim waistcoat and blue & white pumps. (I did have a velour puma hoodie on for the carboot this morning, I know the shame, it was 6.30am and I had just rolled out of bed!)

    Helloo!!

Yes it has been a long time Alexinov, life took over and only really now things are settling down again.

Queenie, i presume the second car boot was the cricket club?? I was there this morning, and it wasn't as busy as it usually is (think the weather put ppl off) But managed to get a few lovely tops, all blowing nicley on the washing line now:D Have you been to the chazza shops in Huyton villiage?? The church one is fab, had a lot from there latley, i find the BHF quiet expensive so i usually swerve that one:p Gutted i missed the jumble sale at st Marys:(

Car boot this a.m, mammoth pile of ironing to get through, roast to cook and dogs need walking.

Wearing black leggings (M&S New) Dress from Matalan via my lovely next door neighbour, will tell u all about her another time;) wedges new look via car boot, cath kidston bag (pressy) and lots of bangles AND i am just loving my 'bump it' :A how did i ever manage without it!!
Edited to say i also picked up some crime novels for 20p, read 3 chapters of p.d james and i am going to bed early tonight to carry on, i wander when my life became so rock n roll (insert confused man here)

    Catch you all later!!
    Sharron x
Sometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p
  • the first one was bottle, the second one was the cricket club. wasn't as busy? god at one point I couldn't move! or maybe you mean not as many sellers? I got there at 10 but there was already a lot of people there so maybe it opens earlier and I don't know about it?!

I've not checked out huyton yet, thanks for the tip, also BHF becomes lots cheaper when you vol. there ;) having said that £2.55 for a top isn't too bad, the bags are quite pricey tho, depends what it is. Mind you I think everything looks pricey when I compare it to carboot prices!

I'm setting myself a challenge not to buy anything (else) this week.

Hello - wonder if any of you lovely peeps can help me please ? I bought a gorgeous soft leather bag in the sales, it's a light tan/beige-y colour and I am wondering what to use to protect/preserve it without breaking the bank ? Any tips much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Ellidee, I just use some leather care cream stuff. Can't remember where I bought it from (probably a supermarket) but it wasn't more than a few quid and it'll last for ages.

Picked up a nice asos floral blouse for a couple of quid in a charity shop today but Barnados take the mick with their prices don't they? £19.99 for a Coast dress!! I know Coast stuff isn't cheap when it's new but I don't expect a charity shop to charge that much for it!!
