  • My poor blog has been neglected for a while, I've lost my confidence with outfit posts cos I can't find a good place to take them in the apartment, I think I need to invent in a tripod for my camera.

Aw I didn't know you lived in l'pool, that's good to know :)

I don't drive so the carboots I currently go to is bootle and aigburth (going to both tomorrow because one starts earlier than the other and if I'm buying a bus ticket I may as well!)

In terms of charity shops I think I've nearly seen them all now, southport is defo my fave, allerton is good too. Walton is scary but a couple of good ones there, waterloo is average, only a couple in bootle but worth a look, I haven't done crosby or formby yet, I love the ones over in berkinhead. Am I missing any good ones?

I also like the flea market over at lark lane and i went to a table top sale on roby road last week that was quite good. Not come across a jumble sale yet though :(

    Sharron! Long time no see!

Queenie, I didn't realise you were just going there for the day. Quite a long time to spend on trains!

Lola - that's always the way with shoes isn't it? The second you want a particular style & colour, you can't find anything at all :(

My outfit for the day has been:

White, red & blue stripy dress with poppy pattern round the hem - New Look
    Red cardi - Matalan
    White sandals - Chiara
    Star earrings - New Look
Butterfly necklace - found down the back of a bed when I was about 5 :)
  • hey alex :) how was waterloo today and did you decide on the carboot tomorrow? oh questions, questions

Yeah I go just for the day, well a few hours really, I attend a group thing, then go for coffee and lunch with friends after and catch the train back about 2pm, sometimes I stay over, but usually there and back in a day.

Waterloo was good - not in terms of clothes, although I did get a gorgeous leather belt for 30p in the CAFOD shop, but I got LOTS of books so I was pleased :D

Think I'll skip the car boot tomorrow as I'm still horribly short on sleep and could really do with a good lie-in but I'm sure I'll be around at plenty of the other ones over the summer if you fancy meeting up at some point :)
  • yeah that souds fab :) enjoy your lie in.

you buy so many books, how many do get through a week? I'm going through a reading phase again and am getting through a couple a week at the moment, will need to keep an eye out at the carboot tomorrow for another couple to keep me going

I don't think I've ever counted. I keep a record in my diary of what I've been reading that day so I should probably go back and tot them up at some point. It's two so far today, and I haven't been home for most of it...
  • finished two tody or started two today?

    Started and finished :)

Oh I should have remembered about the Mossley Hill one - loads of the volunteers at work go to that church. St Marys (few mins walk down the road from the cricket club) has various sales throughout the year as well.
  • are we talking small thin books? I'm astounded how you can read two books in a day unless they are tiny books. If I'm on holday having a lay in the sun day I could prob do most of one, and I'm not a slow reader!

Oooo next time you drive past (you live that way don't you?) have a look and see if there is anything advertised, or I could ring them up and find out when the next one is.
