hmmm thats good for you then would be a nightmare for you the other way round.

Lets hope greenmetropolis comes up trumps.

can anyone tell me how to do the bit at the bottom of the posts where it refers to debt, quidco etc? would be good to keep a track on it all.

    Thanks A lot,
    Pania

  • Do you mean the signature, like the bit where at the mo it says about my teeth? (very boring, sorry, will update soon).

If so, go to User CP (in beige panel just under where it says Welcome Pania), then to Edit Signature. ;)

Pania, I realise I'm a bit late in this, but just wanted to say hello :hello: and welcome to dfw :)

You've had some very good advice already and made good progress, so well done to you :T Its not easy facing up to a difficult situation but it only gets easier once you've written it all down and started to do something about it!

That's great that you might be able to lower your dmp payments for a while.. even a small reduction would help you to get back on your feet.

I hope the book selling is going well... don't forget there's a 5p listing day on ebay this thursday if you have anything that's best on ebay. That 5p is, I believe, for a basic listing with one photo attached... not much to pay on an item or two in the hope that they'll go.

As for other money-making ideas, I see you're already into quidco :T Have a good look around on there and see what you can find - I've made about £300 in the last 4 months. Obviously some of this is from spending (speculate to accumulate style - ok if you have the cash flow) but there's a reasonable number of cashback offers that don't require you to spend anything. Have a look at online dvd rental companies if you've never had such a service before - you can get cashback to take out a trial and as long as you cancel it and return the discs in time it won't cost anything :T Also, means you can have some cheap nights in watching dvds :j Watch out though cos there are some companies (such as sainsburys and lovefilm) which are, in fact, one and the same company and you can only have one free trial from them per address. Little bit of research and a read of martin's article here should sort you out!!

Good luck and keep us updated :D

I tried to join in with a head to head to £250 but i got rejected!!

No worries!! I've sold my first book on amazon! only £4.50 but hey it's a start.
Does anyone have an idea on a bank account for someone with naff credit that needs to swap to claim back ridiculously high bank charges? (just been hit with £77 worth, undone all my good work!)

Hi Pania, try egg or even the post office. Well done on your £4.50. Are you going to add that to your total for the Head to Head challenge?
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
  • There's a thing called a basic bank account look here - I expect Martin's written something helpful about it as well!!!
