If you have the bus pass/rail card, just show them to prove you are disabled.

Not all are aimed at those with physical disabilities. Many just ask for proof of disability - ie, bus pass, BB, DLA award, etc.

I've never had that. But I do show them my registration card and than ask about discounts.

The point to watch out for is getting between the long term car park which is usually by bus, and this is where disabled people have difficulties. I use a service which which picks me up and gets me to the car. Will insert the proper name for the service when I remember it. It is available at all airports.

Purple parking will upgrade you to "meet and Greet" for no charge at most airports, just book it normally (going via a cash back site) and then e mail or fax them a copy of your blue badge,

Well, there's the disabled person's railcard. You have to buy it, but you then get discounted travel for TWO PEOPLE for the duration of the railcard.

Clear info and application form here: http://www.disabledpersons-railcard.co.uk/buying-your-railcard

    - and there's lots of assistance available when you travel, all free of charge.

Just to add that you can also get a London Transport disabled rate all-day all-zones travelcard for yourself *and* a companion - around £5.00 each per day.

Apologies if this has been posted before but 17 pages is a lot of reading :)

London Eye - go to the helpdesk in the ticket building and ask for disabled fast-track ticket, a carer goes free, so you both go for a single reduced rate and you don't have to queue. I must say their disability training seems to have paid off - they were fantastic!
