I agree, its a shame that some questions do end up going 'off topic' and that it turns into a slanging match, and the original question never really gets answered.
I couldnt offer any advice, as I dont really understand the benefits that are available.
I hope you manage to get the help you need :)

Also I would like to add that even though 'Deepmistrust' can offer some good advice, I think his/her tone is always very condescending towards others, then that gets other peoples backs up, then the slanging matches start :(

I only posted a comment last night to 'lighten' the mood and had a sarcastic remark made :(

I'm not convinced I care if my tone is condescending. If people can't deal with it, that's their problem.

I try and ensure my posts are objective, as opinion bores me. Opinions are like @rseholes, everyone has one.

Though many people do try and sneak in their opinion in the guise of fact, I also enjoy exposing it for the sham it often is.

If that upsets the more sensitive out there, so be it.
All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.

I have every respect for someone who is against abortion for religious reasons as you are. I'm not going to say any more on the subject.

Only on religious beliefs? What about those that are against having an abortion, because they actually already *love* and *want* the baby they have created?

Do you have respect for them? Or are they fair game for a bit of internet baiting?

Spelling mistakes? All that and you're picking up on a spelling mistake? And you call me desperate? Wow.

The point you supported (even confirmed you agreed with) was the belief that contraception is a "womans' job".
No one is suggesting that women should not be responsible for their bodies. But you are suggesting that avoiding a child being born, is the responsiblity of a woman.

That is not sensible advice, that is warped backward thinking.

Continue wittering about how the OP should consider abortion, despite what she's already posted on here. Like I said, live out your fantasies on here, I'd enjoy hearing you say to a pregnant woman who has been let down in *real life* she should consider an abortion, despite her telling you how it's already out of the equation.

    How very tasteless.

*Shrugs* So we will have to agree to disagree.

Perhaps you should start caring, its not a nice trait you have :(

I wouldnt say I was in any way sensitive, but If you spoke to me like you speak to others on here in 'real life' you would be having a slap.

As the old saying goes, Speak to those how you would expect to be spoken to yourself ;)

I think you have more 'fun' having a go at people sometimes then you enjoy giving advice. But hey that only my opinion ;)

    Best wishes
    Mel :)

Who on earth is talking about caring? You're asking me to care if someone thinks my tone is condescending? Haha.

I save my 'caring' for where it matters. I care more for the fact that others on here see fit to lecture a young girl who has asked for benefit advice, on the "benefits" of abortion and adoption.

Threatining violence on the internet? Well done.

I've already explained what I put into my posts. I care not for your lecture on the tone of my voice dear.

And I havent threatened violence at all either.

And so this conversation has finished, as I dont care to try to be nice to you

    For the hard of reading.

So tell me, do you often go around slapping people whose tone you don't like?

Yup, my son normally gets a slap round the back of the head if he is being 'cocky' :p:p

But I knew as soon as I wrote that, you would be taking that seriously! when it was only meant hypothetically :o

Anyway, I dont need to slap anyone, I wouldnt mix with people that spoke to me like sh*t

I'm not convinced that confessing to child abuse is actually helping your case here.
