Having a broken fridge helps the budget no end!
As a result we have been eating up what's left and edible and living out of the freezer and cupboards. I'm using a coolbox for milk and marg (seems to work) but can't keep much more in it.
I've just been to the greengrocers and local shop and spent £3.98 and £4.80 respectively - I'm now just £5 under budget but trying desperately to continue coping this way until Friday when my new budget starts and the new fridge is in and functional.
The meals planned until then are...
Tonight - curry, rice and naan
Tues - sausage casserole, broccoli, peas and roast potatoes
Weds - spag bol
Thurs - kebabs and savoury rice OR burgers, chips and peas
Fingers crossed!0 -

£11.50 spent in Sainsburys today. Got some chips, milk, onions, some huge apples, satsumas, dried cannellini beans, cous cous, crisps, shaving gel, kitchen roll and a bag of Jelly Tots
All meals this week are already made or I have everything I need for them so I shouldn't need to buy anything else. If I do, I can go on the work bus again as it goes there a couple/few times a week.
I have done well this month and have used up some things that needed using, but still have some things so will work on them next month. My July runs to the 31st, but i'm unlikely to spend anything else, so please put me down for £50.00 again for August. It's my birthday in August, so will have to buy cakes for work and i'll be going out for dinner, but I won't be including them in this total.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Adding a shop of £6.91 today, but that is nearly everything for the rest of the month now! Just need some bread later in the week, hopefully won't need anything else so beginning to think I might be able to do this... Remembered it's not so bad as it sometimes seems to me either as this month I did quite a bit of stocking up with offers and batch cooking.0
