Good Morning all
well only about ten days left of my July/August Challenge and doing ok so far. I need some cereal and some lunch stuff today so may take a wander up to Waitrose later to grab a few bargains- their reduced stuff is absolutely brilliant! As is their value range!
Going to cook up a chicken for lunches/dinners and to make some chicken and rice soup oh and to make some pies for snacking on, then use up a pizza I have which needs using up.
I made an amazing loaf of french bread yesterday from a recipe in my panasonic. I would recommend it to anyone who has that breadmaker! Really light! That reminds me. I also need some yeast.
Well I'm off to make some cheese on toast and clean up the house before I go out.
Have a good day all!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -
Hi
Can I join in For August please? £200, which includes all food, toiletries, cleaning stuff & dog food for 2 hungry mutts and 2 adults. Finding my bills shooting up as having a lot more fresh fruit and veg in my diet as I am pregnant (Yes I know I should have been eating them before as well) My month runs until the 23rd August, so a 5 weekend month for me(counting the one just gone), which makes it more of a challenge!
WinkyRight now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before0 -
Hello All
I have been following your thread with great interest and would love to join in. I am pretty good at keeping my other finances in order but when it comes to the food bills I am not so hot.

Hi All
I am back and hoping that July has gone well for everyone? I have finished just over by about £10 which is slightly annoying but better than being over by loads and loads and loads...
I am running my month from 25th to 25th as its easier and that is when I get paid : )
I am trying to work out my budget for August as I just did my first shop but it was way over my normal. I spent £88 eeekkk BUT and its a big one I bought a pair of wedge sandals needed for work and 3 bath sheets, a hand towel and new bath mat. These came to £43.05. Reason being I need to get 200 extra clubcard points to be able to exchange into reward vouchers in August. £16 in Clubcard vouchers gives you 2 Blackpool Pleassure beach Wrist bands.. Normal cost £50. So with my towels I paid £33.05 for something I needed and got 500 bonus points and now will not have to pay £50 in Blackpool. Therefore my shopping was £45 so do I classify all of it or some of it? I also spent £5.50 on clairol nice and easy hair dye! Its great instead of spending £30 on half head of highlights. This I do need to include. I think I will bite the bullet and include it all!!!! Also I paid £12 in Asda for 2 t shirts needed as being frugral not been buying anything! and 2 headbands been looking everywhere fo them and Puppy food : ) She is growing looks like a German Shepherd now not a bog brush on stilts!
Tip though if anyone pays a fortune highlighting their hair be brave and try clairol nice and easy it is great.
All Mr S sent me a £4 off voucher that Mr T very kindly accepted.
Have another one for this week and a £5 off voucher from yesterdays Sunday mail (Cost 1.50) Worth it though got a read and another £3.50 off this weeks T Shop : )
Right need to update my signature now... should I include the towels and pair of shoes... what do we draw the line on?

Just updating my sig.Not spent much this week havs actually been eating a lot of fruit and veg from the garden, DH is very pleased.I've got a pile of porcinis picked yesterday so better make some soup today.Annual GC is only 45% spend and I'm 58% through the year so I'm chuffed with that.Nothing is getting thrown out it either becomes a ready meal for the freezer or is transformed into something else. This seems to work for me."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0
