    Morning all

Haven't updated for a while but I'm getting to crunch point! Only £38.50 left and it won't be enough.

Now the kids are off school I need to keep more stuff in and I'm just not going to manage until Sat without another A*da delivery.

I've just done an order for Tues evening and got a bit carried away so I will pare it down when I've done a plan.

All this means I will go over but hopefully not by too much.

Good luck everybody for the last stretch!

I have been away a long time but I'm now ready to try again!

My month will run from payday to payday (25th of every month) as that's when I do my big shop

My budget for this month will be £200 though I expect I'll go over due to the holidays :o

  • why does our best effort at sticking to budget always go bad when kids break up for hols it doesn't add up, breakfast , lunch, tea time and maybe supper now on average teenagers go out and about never a thought for set mealtime yet we still end up spending more im intrested to find out why we always up our budget instead of keeping it the same my eldest has 2 girls 9 and 6 and always says she spends more on food in hols but doesn't get anything different just more of the usual im going to try to stick to my target for my 2nd gc in august based on july spends no real need for it to be higher insead of weekly im gona try 10 days at a time except milk and bread i will not be beaten by a food budget i will get there sooner rather than later pref before oct gc

I had planned to do some shopping on Friday, my dad arranged to pick me up from work at lunchtime, but a meeting was called in the morning so I was stuck in there for an extra 15 minutes. My dad had to go as had things to do so I didn't get to go to the shop. Grr! I was more annoyed that he'd made a wasted trip.

I was going to go into town for some bits today, but I still think it might be a bit far to go without my crutches and it's a pain with them, so I will wait and go to Sainsburys on the work bus tomorrow instead. I have just done a virtual shop and it should come to about £16 depending on what fruit/veg I get (no bananas, they're not keeping well at the moment!) I am going to get some crisps too as there's a new flavour of Doritos showing online (Fajita! - and they're BOGOF), but will only get them if they have the new flavour.

I've only had 4 spend days so far this month :D

Oh dear, am about £50 over for July... I had one good week, 2 terrible weeks and 1 ok week. Although the terrible weeks did have other things in such as OH visiting, posting a heavy parcel, visiting relatives... the list goes on. So I am declaring at £160.78/£108  for July!

I've just gone slightly over budget (only 3.41) as I've been a bit lazy with making pack lunches this month, but I've just been to the supermarket and have got lots of stuff for my packed lunch this week, so fingers crossed I can risk the temptation of the canteen! Just got milk to get during the week, so hopefully won't go all that much more over budget this month.
