I'm also going to cheat and make some marmalade from marmade as I missed marmalade season. I am hoping to put cranberries in etc to make it a bit unusual!
Sorry I snipped your post!
Probably a silly question but how do you make Marmalade from Marmalade? I've love to make some too.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Thanks
Depends... how are you at resisting temptation?
There is no "use by" date on vodkaAnd even with sweets dissolved in them the vodka will kill anything pretty much that could "go off"... make them now and serve next christmas if you wanted...

Thank you MrsTine!
I will get on with making these at the weekend. I may have to make a tester batch for myself save me giving in to the temptation on the gift ones.0 -

I have just started reading this thread and was wondering if there is an easier way to find the recipes other than going through it all over again. Also a lot of the stuff that I plan on making is for a recovering alcohoilc who is on anti booze tablets so can't even wear aftershave with alcohol in it as he has a really bad reaction so is there an alternative to any of the recipes that require alcohol? lmb - you're right to avoid anything with alcohol in if someone is on medication that reacts to alcohol - even 3 hours of boiling has been proved to only remove 85% of the alcohol...
As for what you can replace it with... I think that depends very much on the ACTUAL recipe that you want to make... Personally I'd just keep seaching for something else which contained NO alcohol in the making. My stepfather is an alcoholic and has been on the pills you describe and they do get very sick if they consume alcohol whilst on the tablets. So from someone with an alcoholic in the family... thank you for taking such care in avoiding accidently giving them any no matter how small!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
