I am making Hampers again this year.
Contents Pickled Onions, Chilli Jam, Port & Cranberry Sauce, Preserved lemons these can all be made in time for christmas still and are very simple. You could do dry spice mixes too.
There are lots of great ideas at if you look up good housekeeping dot com in a search engine
and if you look up home made food gifts in your search engine, you should come across one called homemade gifts made easy. this is a great place to look for things all year round!
I have got all my baskets from candi gifts where they have a huge range and most are cheaper than ebay.
I get all my jars from Carters Packaging if I have not saved enough through the year.
I am also making mulled wine sachets but am having trouble finding Muslin Squares that are fairly cheap to wrap the spices in - anyone have any ideas?
Hope this helps

I got some bags of the sweets but its a mixed bag of teeth and lips so I'm thinkin of using the teeth for my Mum and Aunt as they have false teeth.
In a small jar ribbon and bow etc and then a small ditty along the lines of Spare Teeth, Open in emergency or something I'm not quite sure yet, any ideas? Oh was going to put a small childs toothbrush with the jar aswell
I just need to find the hearts now. What do you's use for snowman poop, mini marshmallow or mint imperials??
Try this ditty from Pam Ayres
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth,
And spotted the perils beneath,
All the toffees I chewed,
And the sweet sticky food,
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.
I wish I'd been that much more willin'
When I had more tooth there than fillin'
To pass up gobstoppers,
From respect to me choppers
And to buy something else with me shillin'.
When I think of the lollies I licked,
And the liquorice allsorts I picked,
Sherbet dabs, big and little,
All that hard peanut brittle,
My conscience gets horribly pricked.
My Mother, she told me no end,
"If you got a tooth, you got a friend"
I was young then, and careless,
My toothbrush was hairless,
I never had much time to spend.
Oh I showed them the toothpaste all right,
I flashed it about late at night,
But up-and-down brushin'
And pokin' and fussin'
Didn't seem worth the time... I could bite!
If I'd known I was paving the way,
To cavities, caps and decay,
The murder of fiIlin's
Injections and drillin's
I'd have thrown all me sherbet away.
So I lay in the old dentist's chair,
And I gaze up his nose in despair,
And his drill it do whine,
In these molars of mine,
"Two amalgum," he'll say, "for in there."
How I laughed at my Mother's false teeth,
As they foamed in the waters beneath,
But now comes the reckonin'
It's me they are beckonin'
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.0 -

Thanks for all your info Jeannie.
Muslin squares. I know this might sound a bit weird, so ignore it if it isn't suitable, but there is one type of tissues that are made from material that might be suitable. I've used them for lavender bags.
Alternatively some people buy muslin curtains either new or in the charity shop and cut them up.0 -
Hi guys
I just buy muslin from a fabric/sewing store and cut it up myself and washin in hot water.
Or you can buy muslin squares from LakelandCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I think it depends on what you have used, my toffees are 90% dissolved, whereas the pear drop on a go slow. Would say give them a good shake, help the vodka get around and the sweets move. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to where i could find bottles similar to these ones?
