On a completely unrelated note... does anyone have a good contact with a dentist. Not for me; a friend needs help and I'm just asking everyone if they know a dentist who is more interested in ethics and helping people than making money. Bit unlikely but you never know...

Yes. Two. But I suspect Glasgow and St Andrews might be a bit far! Besides I think they are specialist dentists (as in, you'll meet them if you need to go to hospital and be anaethetised for your dental work) as I know them through work stuff.

Ever noticed how you sound as though you've just come from the dentist when you say the word anaethetised?

I bet everyone reading this just mumbled 'anaethetised' under their breath.

Did you know only one in five people can lick their elbow?

Watched DIY SOS at the weekend and both my DH and I were amazed at what the DIY SOSers did for you! What a turnaround! It was a good programme and the before and after shots were simply amazing!

Well done to Mike's Mob for helping out too. It's great to see Forum members helping each other out.

All the best to you in your "new" house :)

I cannot lick my elbow - it is something I have never thought of doing.

Dentists charge these days even NHS ones..I went to the dentist last week and came out £52 lighter so I submitted a claim to the Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund (I tend to use it when I have specs, dental treatment and odd stays in hospital) so I shall get some money back:j

It's something to get done when you're unemployed - go to the dentist, and get your loft insulated , and photocopy things at the library. Really....other people's pity can go a long way :D
