I put them in an ovenproof dish, pour a tin of ratatoulie over them, top with a bit of grated cheese and bake for 20-30 minutes. Very quick and easy and nice with pasta. If you want to be a bit more money saving make your own ratatoulie and use the hard ends of cheese grated down and mixed with some HM breadcrumbs.

best way to make fish awful is freeze it. You can always tell fish and chip shops that use frozen fish. buy fresh you cant beat it. yeah it may be a bit more pricey but live a little and enjoy a little luxury

Utter rubbish! True - you can get bad frozen fish but you can also get very bad fresh fish. It is down to how it has been handled throughout the supply chain and most importantly at the restuarant/ chippie/ home. I have worked a the fish and seafood buyer for a very well known and top end hotel chain, been out on industrial fishing boats and to various fish markets, so I do have an inkling of what I am talking about.

Quality is not about whether meat or fish has been frozen or not.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Hi guys I have found two bags of frozen fish fillets which I have obviously bought for some recipe and then forgotten about them. Anyway I am just wondering if anyone could give me some ideas for family meals with them. I am not a big fan of fish as is, so maybe added to something. Could I make a fish pie with them? There are 5 small fillets in each bag. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Fish pie or my favourite white fish mornay on a bed of spinach - make a thick cheese sauce layer the fish on a bed of spinach with cheese sauce on top of the fish.

I'm not a fan of fish, so no personal recommendations, but this recipe seems like it could work

  • What about fish cakes, fish fingers/ goujons. Fish wrapped in bacon or pancetta is also nice.

I probably would, unless the recipe specifically said cook from frozen.
