Today I've done all the bedrooms, washed and dried two loads including the bedding, finished off the living room, s&sd the kitchen and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Yesterday I did a bit of gardening (cut the grass, got rid of some weeds in the path, emptied two pots of flowers that were just an eyesore).

    Hope everyone's OK.

    Afternoon all.

I'm a tad late posting today, because I had a heap of stuff to do for CAMRA and some for the Pagan Federation, and I wanted it all out of the way before I got distracted.;)

Toots My apologies; I omitted to say yesterday, so sorry to hear about your friend from Cornhill. It's never easy to say goodbye to a friend, I know - I still miss two very good friends, but console myself with thoughts of them in the Summerlands with huge tankards of cider in front of them.:o

Boddy yes we did visit Alnwick Gardens – one of the first things we did. It was lovely, and the Poisons Garden was really fascinating.:)

Jojo if it helps, I'm planning on getting my Rainmaker out later:D – dancing may have to be done by Mr LW however – even before I became disabled I had two left feet!:D

Natty honey, don't waste any more time and energy worrying about Toxic. With friends like that, who needs enemies, hey? I'm glad she's finally stumped up the money she owed you; get it banked, and put her completely out of your thoughts henceforth.

Today's list is as done as I can manage; and a Quorn, cheese and onion quiche has been made for dins. Going to see if I can find the energy for a HHWii now.

My 10 minutes a day on the oven... I think I have spent over 2 hours soaking and scrubbing the racks and still have 1 to do. I also spent 10 minutes scrubbing the bottom of the oven, not fully clean yet but there is only so much scrubbing I can do before the dirt gives up, I just hope it is sooner rather than later.

Are you using Oven Pride? If not, why not? It is AMAZING! My oven racks have not got one single speck of dirt on them, they look like they are brand new. Minimal/no scrubbing required.

Not really read the thread, only managed the last page. Have seen your news though Toots, my condolences to you and G's family. xx

Went into town early when it was still cloudy and have been peeling off layers all day as it got steadily warmer - now too hot to sit up here at puter so think I will do a bit more trying to turn a weed ridden mess into a garden.

Toots - hugs and condolences on the loss of your friend.

Well, that was quite successful flying....:D

    My actual list

    Finish coursework at silly o'clock.
Run through coursework for last minute check.
Realise that 25% of the work has disappeared._pale_
    Panic.
    Swear lots.
Search both laptops for a first draft/backup copy.
    Find one.
Copy & paste missing elements into final copy.
Watch windows craptop have seizures and die halfway through saving.
    Say lots more rude words.
    Try again.
Breathe sigh of relief as it actually saves this time.
    Submit.

Realise it's gone 3.35 am and I'm wide awake and wired to the hilt on caffeine.
Listen to Orbital Glasto set on headphones.
Stop when I realise I haven't done DD2's packed lunch for rehearsals.
Trip over cables en route to the kitchen.
    Say more rude words.
Make lunch, trip over cat trying to chore some chicken pasta salad, say even ruder words.
    Back to bed.

    Relax.
Realise DD2 needs confiscated iPod for her alarm.
Return it to her room, managing not to break something.
Trip over s******* cat on way out of bedroom.
    More rude words.
    Back to bed.
    Sigh.

    Close eyes.
Blackbird and rooks kick off the morning session.
Make mental note to find out some new rude words. Something alliterative with or with the same rhythm as 'corvid' suffices for the time being. :silenced:

    Sleep.
Wake up as DD2 leaves for school. She asks for a particular hair clip as hers has just fallen apart and she needs it for the dance show. Promise to remember.
    Think 'five more minutes'
Wake up and realise it's been an hour and a half.

    Stagger off to rehearsal studio.
    Nail the tune

Fend off guy trying to chat me up at the bus stop and go to collect ticket for tonight.

    Go to get bus home.
    Remember the hairclip.
Buy it in the 2nd shop I tried.
    Come home.

Sort out file sharing music between laptops.
    Turn it up.
    Collapse onto sofa.
    Bathe fingertips in surgical spirit.

Now getting ready for the dance competition.

Maybe hold off on the rainmaking until about 10.30 tonight ?

    :D:D:D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
