Sygma Bank Credit Cards

You can't apply online but the APRs are good for small loans but high for large loans, in so much as they are around 13~14% no matter what the amount.
They will accept people with less than ideal credit at a higher APR where other loan companies may not but they are very strict on previous searches, reportedly.
Their loans are scored same as cards..... they use one scoring model with varying score output per data provided.... thought you knew all this?

If you are accepted for 1 card and then declined for another how many months is it you are supposed to wait before applying for the same card? The 3 because you've got an account, or 6 because you were declined for a 2nd?
I assume whatever the answer to that, it's the same if you tried a different Sygma/Creation card for your new application after being declined?
depends mate - sometimes 1 month, sometimes 3 months.... best to wait 3 to be fair.....2010 - year of the troll

That's good then, means much shorter wait! And I'm assuming my internal rating will have more effect in 3 months time? (All I've done so far is spend!!)
ThanksYou staying around now?

Thanks, so if I was re-applying and kept getting declined it wouldn't affect the card I've already got (JJB?) or my internal rating badly?

Mate no it will not affect the existing card which is purely scored on your account conduct and feeds (cais/insight)...
Basically stop applying for sygma, then wait 3mth then RING and apply and they will accept you so long as you have no adverse.... :beer:2010 - year of the troll

Ring!? Oh dear!Is it not done the same as online?
I do have no adverse in terms of CCJs etc, I'm just a student.... May well have loads of searches... So you reckon I should just ring up and ask to apply for the Silver card or whatever and that's that, hopefully a yes?
We know who's getting a call at the start of December then!!0 -

Ring cos if they refer/auto decline you can ask for an underwriter and argue your case......
Yea, ring and speak to them after a full 3mth since your last application (declined)....2010 - year of the troll

The new Creation online account management is now fully operational....you will need to re-register all your cards, but you can now do balance transfer, set up direct debit, request a new credit limit...so far it does look very smart. However it would have been great when having several Sygma cards to be able to see all the information about your cards in one place a bit like Barclaycard.....0

NID Nice to see you!!
I've just tried Sygmas new online limit increase facility on my Silver card. It says I'll hear within 24 hours if I've been accepted for an increase. Current limit is £400, I asked for £750. Although I don't know if the 30% rule will still be in force or they'll allow any amount of increase? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I've just noticed that the new online account screen says you can pay off your balance using a credit card - is this definitely right? That sounds a bit like doing a free balance transfer (unless its classified as a cash advance?).0

Interesting! I've just had a look but I have no balance...
We accept all major UK debit and credit cards including: VISA, MasterCard, Switch / Maestro, Solo.
We do not accept: American Express or Diners Club International or payments from other Creation or Sygma Bank UK cards
Will be interesting to see if that counts as a cash advance or not.... If it doesn't my DD is being removed and I'll do it manually with a card!0
