Sygma Bank Credit Cards

Blimey! Sygma have really tightened up!
I Have had my Silver card for over six months and My World for over three months now, and am down to two searches on EQ.
Got a copy of my EQ file, perfect. I couldn't resist. One search couldn't hurt right? Well it was bloody pointless. Straight decline for Flybe.
I'm very surprised TBH. I would have expected a refer worse case scenario given my low debt (for income) and unblemished credit history (on Equifax, that is).
Never mind, didn't really need it ayway. Called them up and they confirm they've raised the bar in terms of credit scoringBoo!!!
EDIT: TBH I'm glad they said no - I could do without having another new account on my credit file and there's no need for another card anyway. I should be holding off until LTSB offer me a new card and that won't happen if I keep taking them out elsewhere...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Yes, it's a bet demening when you're told "Go apply for a Vanquis card, deadbeat" after having already built your credit with a Vanquis card and long since closed it to go prime... Ah well. For the best I suppose.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

If i was you i would happy, way to much having 3 sygma cards on the go knowing full well you cant balance transfer on to each of them.
Give it 3 months and there would of been a balance on your flybe and you would be gutted you ever got it..0 -

I only wanted it for the six months interest free - I'd have transferred my Barclaycard balance to it and depending on the limit, if they'd said yes, used my Barclaycard as a mule to shift the Silver card balance over, too.
I was then hoping Barclaycard would give me an offer which I could use for the My World card and pay less interest over the next six months leading up to my DFD.
No intention of using it for purchases or the like.
Hey ho, never mind. I won't pay much interest ploughing £600 a month into my current balances anywayCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

They haven't tightened up lol. You gotta stop believing what these call centre workers earning peanuts tell you!! It's costs thousands to change scoring profiles, plus consultations and a new product. They don't just click a switch to "up" criteria!! Over 50 bits of data make your score and overall their profile is standard to align with product, reputation and market dominance/exposure.
Laymans, you were declined because they said so. Nothing personal, just the way it is. I'd say it's ur high balances v available credit plus they've reached their maximum permitted exposure that you're allowed. Simple really lol.2010 - year of the troll
