Well clearly there is for me to get an instant decline after two instant approvals with equally bad debt to limit ratios!

I just spoke to the underwriters and they confirmed that they are being more picky with their customers now and told me not to reapply for 3-6 months where before they said after a month or two.

Ah well, there you go. Sensible decision for them to make, really.

Oh well, I've waited five months since my last application to them, so might as well give it a go. I've managed to get Cap1 and Aqua in the mean time, plus a nice rise from the lovely people at Vanquis.

The 1 to 2 months was if you are already hold one of their cards? Is it this they are now saying 3 to 6 months for?
Capital one £200 - bal nil. Aqua £350 - bal nil
    Vanquis limit [STRIKE]£250[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£750[/STRIKE] £1250 - bal £450. Nat West overdraft limit - £300, unused. JD Willaims limit [STRIKE]£400 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE] £600 [/STRIKE] £900 - bal £90.
Very limit £400 - balance £329 (buy now pay 2011!)

    Yes.

I'd suggest you avoid the Flybe card and instead apply for the Silver Card or My World card as, reportedly, they have a lower pass mark...

Don't quote me, I'm just passing on information from an underwriter. It is as accurate as you trust them to be ;)
    Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

    Cheers.

I'm hoping to get rid of Vanquis before the end of the year (2 years is surely enough time with them!?) and ideally get a Silver card.

Creation also told me that different cards have different pass marks - perhaps Flybe is one of their strictest ones?

Pass mark is about 400 for JJB :D

Any idea how they calculate scores based on each card.

Didn't I say this a while ago and you told me they were all scored the same? :p

Also, when you were told they're more choosy, they can't be that choosy if they're accepting people with CCJ's!!

I think it all depends on who you speak to there, they're useless on times.

Are there more benefits to a Flybe Card then there is to having a Siver Card? Just wondering why the criteria is higher?

Probably because you get the Flybe air miles. I don't think there's much else different between the two cards.

If it's free, I certainly wouldn't complain. However, I wouldn't fly with any budget airline if I bought the tickets myself.
