    Hi all,

    just to let you know, I got the Capital One pin this morning so it looks like I'm going to get the card :)

    It's the first time they've even contemplated looking in my direction so I'm obviously doing something right :) It's nice to get a yes rather than the giggles down the line

    Excellent news. I got my PIN on a Saturday and the card was with me on Wednesday I think (was only a couple of weeks ago and it's a blur already lol)

    Even better news is that they won't try to sell you card insurance when you activate the card. They will push for a DD to be set up for either the minimum or full balance though so have your bank details ready. The call took about 10 mins.

    Once the card is activated, register for the online service. Tis very good.
    Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.

    I use Lloyds TSB online banking, is their online service similar to that? I mean, is it easy enough to set up an online transfer? Thanks for giving me a time frame for when to expect the card too!

    Oh I have had that the huge intake of breath as they try not to pee themselves laughing at me having the gall to apply.:rotfl::rotfl:

    Congratulations as I am still Persona Non Grata with them.............ah well at least I do my bit for staff morale giving them a good laugh each year when I apply:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Could anyone advise what the best card would be for somone who has never applied for a credit card before; My GF is 23, lives at home, has never had anything other than a mobile phone contract on credit however has a student loan of 13k. Cheers
