Sorry no idea about the Halifax thing, I do know that with the Co-op it is not until the card is activated that it shows on internet banking. You could call up and ask I suppose.
I have had the Cap1 card for about a year it is the progress card too, so the APR is falling, in each letter I got to tell me this it said as I had not used the card I was not eligible for a credit limit increase. But I was using the card so I queired it over the phone but it was their indian call centre I got and was a waste of time as the woman I spoke to did not understand what I was try to say. I got a better response using the on-line secure messaging service.
They do constantly batter out the same line of we dont do credit limit increase on request we will tell you when you become eligible, which for many seems to be never and for others is within a few months. The whole scoring model seems to be a complete enigma.

I've got the same card - my APR keeps going down, never any mention of my credit limit in my letters. Using the online service I just get the same standard rubbish as the call centre! It's (normally) the same people doing both - companies I've looked at working for (call handling) say you'll work across all platforms (phone, web message, letter, live-chat where it exists etc). Guess it's just luck of the draw who you speak to/get assigned to....
Someone really needs to go undercover at a place like this - prove the complete shambles regarding their increases! Might get some tasty comments about why people have been increased (££££)?
Off to post my letter... signed it this time :rotfl:0 -
"You'll be pleased to know that we have assessed the information you sent us, and we've approved your application for a Halifax Credit Card. We are able to offer you a rate of 21.9% APR...." - Is that good or bad by Halifax standards? Seems quite high so doubt I'm getting a high limit??
Problem is there is no credit limit, and the CCA I've got to sent back doesn't give a credit limit either - "we'll decide it and let you know". So could I still be declined (Natpest AVU style?) or I am I getting it for sure!?
I also got a letter from Aqua offering me a card... but I have one, with a 1k limit!!!0 -
When I got my Aqua card on the bottom of the application form there were some numbers including the number 600 on the far left which was my credit limit, is there anything like that on the bottom of your Halifax Card CCA form. 21.9% does seem a bit high. Just wondering as Bank of Scotland issue both.0

Ah I remember people talking about that with Aqua... didn't think to check it for Halifax. Sent it back now, as I was on my way out anyway!0

21.9 is their middle tier highest being 23.9
i reckon about £800 limit (thou this is a guess)0 -

Are they good for increases? And is it easy to upgrade your card? I wanted the one with 0% for 13 months (purchases) but thought they'd never approve me for it... might push my luck and try for it in 6 months or so!
Thanks0 -
No Cap1 Classic yet, but did get online access details sent to me, can confirm a 500 pounds opening limit.0

Just thought I'd have a giggle and try for an Aqua
They said Yes! whooppeeee
Estimated £300, but not bothered about that, more Green 0's and a Mastercard not a visa0 -
Well done
You'll get increases quickly with them too, I've had one every 3/4 months so far. From 250 up to a grand... should be getting another one soon actually (if they keep it up!)

Will probably start using this card and just keep the Granite at home(although I like that they do give you the 50 odd days to pay your bill if you time it right, Cap1 seem to only give you 30 days and take the money!!)
