anyone successfully got an aqua? how hard is it to get?0
-
Yes, it is considered to be one of the harder subprime cards to get.0
-
I got an Aquacard and I have 3 Defaults, one of the defaults still open with 500 debit , they gave me 250.00 and after 3 months they increase to 500.00.0
-
Same as the above really. 2 defaults. Only been with Aqua 2 months but got £300 limit. Also have Vanquis £250 (2 months) and Cap1 £200 (1 month)
Its said the likely acceptance is: (most likely top)
Vanquis / Granite
Capital one classic
Aqua

Aqua From 02.11 , Vanquis and Capital From 09.10 (No increases for some reason) I have been accepted for Capital progress 500.00(waiting for card and pin) , so will cancel the Vanquis.0
-
So you left it 6 months after having the cap1 and then applied for the cap1 progress.0
-
Yes, I applied 5 months after having the classic one and get a apllication cancelled and re-apply 17.05 and was accepted, u have to have at least 6 months on capital one classic before apply.0

Ok thanks, that was my plan just wanted to check.0

O.M.G Just applied for Barclaycard Initial and was expecting to get the usual sod off response.... or wait 10 days to get told where to go. Instead I get an instant acceptance. I guess my credit rating is finally picking upOfficial DFW Nerd number 227
Proud to be dealing with my debts!!!!0 -
A year ago I got a copy of my credit file and wasn't best impressed with the actions of my ex wife (joint account) and ex gf (conducted fraud in my name) - wondered why I was being knocked back for everything, even Vanquis and Capital One...
At the time tried Sygma and was declined (natch).
After spending 18 months scribbling letters off to the compaines concerned and cleaning up my credit file (which seems to have been in a collective mess for 10+ years), I just thought I'd try and apply for the Sygma FlyBe card - and was accepted with 19.9% APR and £2,000 limit!!
To say I was shocked is an understatement. There is still one default on my file from 5 1/4 years ago, otherwise now clean as a whistle.
I'm so glad I checked my file and sorted it out. I don't feel like a leper now :T:beer:
PS: Don't worry - DD will be set up for full payment each month. I just want to use it to further strengthen my (evidently healthier) credit record.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
